The following members of the Bridge Grange attended Coos Pomona, held at McKinley on Tuesday of last week: Henry Brownson, Mr. And Mrs. Frank Culver, Mr. And Mrs. Vern Magill and Mrs. Elmer Magill.
January, 1938

At the Grange meeting last week the annual election was held, the following officers for the new year being as follows: Master, Henry Brownson; Overseer, Vera Magill; Lecturer, Beth Culver; Secretary, Marjorie Magill; Steward, Elmer Magill; Assistant Steward, John Koch; Chaplain, Nellie Culver; Treasurer, O. W. Heath; Gatekeeper, Clyde Bartlett; Ceres, Alice Knight; Pomona, Edna Knight; Flora, Blanche LeClerc; Lady Assistant Steward, Nell Watson; Musician, Virginia Beckett; Executive Committee, Lawrence Knight, Roy Beckett, Dwight Culver; Home Economics Chairman, Irene Hatfield; Agricultural Chairman, O. B. Finch; Fire insurance agent, Vern Magill. A committee, consisting of Beth Culver, Irene Hatfield and Blanche LeClerc, was appointed to represent the Grange on the "Community Christmas committee," which also includes committtees from the school, church and civic club. Beth Culver, Altha Finch and Bessie Ocheltree were appointed as the next serving committee.

COOS RIVER GRANGE, 702
The Coos River Grange organized in 1928 surrendered its charter in 1941. This organization met twice a month in the gymnasium at the Coos River Consolidated School. W. C. Morgan was the first grange master - an office he held for ten years.
