Hon. A.B. Upshaw

Acting Commissioner,

                                                                                    Dear Sir,

I have the honor to submit the enclosed census to your consideration as requested by your communication of the 13th of May 1880, mark “1”.

I have visited and examined the property personally and I gave as accurate an account as possible, both, in regard to numbers and condition. I learn there are at least 100 Indians belonging to this reservation, outside, which I did not county. They have been outside from 9 months to several years, scattered over the country.

I hope this report will be satisfactory.

It had to be done hurriedly for the reason that I had but very little time, on account of my other duties, to attend to it.

                                                Very Respectfully,

                                                J- M-llan(very faded)
