Miss F. Eaton, a teacher at the Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon, died suddenly last Tuesday while running up stairs. She is supposed to have ruptured a blood vessel.

FORMER HEAD NORMAL SCHOOL TAKES LIFE
     Forest Grove, Ore., Dec. 23-Prof. J.W. Livingstone, former president of a state normal school at Platteville, Wis., and more recently a member of the faculty of the Oregon Normal school at Monmouth, met death here today by drowning.
     Despondency over continued ill health had been noticeable. He was 54 years old and has a family.

Hillsboro, Ore. – Calvin Henry Adams, Oregon pioneer of 1852, died at his home in this city August 29 after an illness of three days, superinduced by a paralytic stroke. Deceased was born in Eden, N.Y. January 7, 1920. Moving to Genesen, Ill., he was married to Miss Cathering Barlitt May 18, 1848. They crossed the plains in 1852 and settled in the Waldo Hills, Marion county. In 1863 the moved to Washington county, settling in Hillsboro. The widow, a brother, Dr. William Adams of this city, and the following children survive: Mrs. Sophia Howlby, Hillsboro, Joseph S. Adams, Portland, Amos C. Adams, Weston, Marion C. Adams, Stites, Idaho, Mrs. Flora Pio, Portland, and William C. Adams, Hillsboro. Mr. Adams had been affiliated with the Congregational church of Hillsboro ever since its organization. Stites, Idaho– Sept. 3, -- M.C. Adams, manager of the Vollmer Clearwater warehouse at this place, received word today of the death of his father at Hillsboro, Ore. The deceased was 88 years of age and was a pioneer of Hillsboro, having resided there for the last 45 years. He crossed the plains in 1852. William Masterson Dies At Hillsboro

William Materson, brother of Mrs. Mary M. Dunn of Eugene, died January
1 at Hillsboro.  He was born May 28, 1853, near Springfield, the son
of William and Eliza Masterson, pioneers of 1852.  He is survived by
his wife, Mrs. Anna Masterson; two children, H. R. Masterson of
Richland, and Mrs. Maude Swearingen of Irrigon; three sisters, Mrs.
Bettie Parsons of Walla Walla, Mrs. Dunn, and Mrs. Eliza Helm of
Portland, and one brother, Cal Masterson of Rupert, Idaho.

The Oregonian (Portland, OR) Thursday, July 10, 1890 W. W. Weeks, of Middleton, Washington county, Or., an uncle of George Weeks, of Howell Prairie, died at his home last week. He became semi-paralyzed sometime over a year ago, and received a second stroke on the 27th, from which he never recovered. He was born in Shelden, Genesee county, N.Y., June 11, 1823; moved to Knox county, Illinois, when a boy, and crossed the plains in 1852. (Submitted by Jim Dezotell)

The Oregonian (Portland, OR) Saturday, November 16, 1895 Death of Elias Gardner, Who Was for Seventy Years a Church Member Pioneer Elias Gardner died at his home at Greenville last Tuesday, at the advanced age of 86 years. He came to Washington county at an early day, and was well and favorably known. He had been a consistent Christian and a member of the Baptist church for 70 years, His friends claim for him the distinction of having belonged to the church a greater number of years than any one else in the state.
