SLAYER DIES IN ELECTRIC CHAIR.
Bellefonte, Pa., May 5.--(A.P.)--Cleveland Thompson, 36, died last night in Pennsylvania's electric chair for slaying a Pittsburgh bartender nearly a decade ago.
An unsuccessful appeal to Gov. David L. Lawrence for executive clemency last week ended a series of court appeals and ten respites that delayed Thompson's execution for nine and a half years.
