Death of an Infant Died on December 29,
1928, at 9:15 p.m. at the Children's hospital, Pittsburgh, Richard Leroy,
six months old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Galbreath of Boggsville, grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Boyd and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Galbreath. Funeral
services were held at the home of J. E. Galbreath Monday afternoon,
December 31, at 2:30. Interment in Slate Lick cemetery.

CAROLYN PORTER GARDNER
Age 54 of Shadyside on Friday,
October 10, 2003, of ovarian cancer contracted in June of 1998.
Beloved daughter of J. Henry and Mary Ann Rial Gardner of Longwood
at Oakmont; sister of Ann Gardner Tripp and her husband Isaac of Chagrin
Falls, OH and the late David Henry Gardner; aunt of Catharine Tripp Taylor
and her husband Michael B. of Aurora, OH and Isaac Henry Gardner Tripp of
Chagrin Falls, OH. Carolyn was a founding member and vice president
of the Pittsburgh Division of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and a
strong supporter or the annual Walk for the Whisper Project to raise funds
to warn all women of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, and to find better
ways to combat recurrent ovarian cancer. Carolyn was a 1972 graduate
of Westminster College and also held a Masters of Education degree from
University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority
and the Concert Touring Choir. Carolyn was an elementary teacher in
the Pittsburgh Public Schools at Liberty Spanish Magnet School in
Shadyside for ten years prior to her illness, and held teaching positions
previously with the Mt. Lebanon School District, Allegheny Intermediate
Unit, and prince Georges County, MD, public schools. Friends
received Thursday, October 16, from 5-8 pm in WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME,
100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. A memorial service will be held Friday,
October 17, at 7:30 pm at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel
Road. Interment private at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In
lieu of flowers memorial contributions to NOCC, PO Box 82604, Pittsburgh,
PA 15218.

MRS. ANNA M. GAULT
Anna Gault,74, of 1707 Scott St.,
who was born on Oct. 19, 1873, in Washington County, died today at the West Penn
Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Gault was a member o the Bryn Mawr Christian Church
and the Daughters of America, McKeesport Council 11.
Survivors include
her husband, Arthur; & daughter, Mrs. Frances Smith of Eden Park, one
grandson; a sister, Mrs. Eva Wackerham of Washington County and a brother,
Charles Butler of Tosper, KY.
Friends are being received at
the Willig Funeral Home and funeral arrangements will be announced later. Gault - Funeral services for Mrs.
Anna May Gault of 1707 Scott Street, will be held on Monday afternoon at
3:30 o'clock from the Willig Funeral Home, 220 Ninth Avenue, with William
C. MacDonald officiating. Interment will be ine Richland Cemetery. Friends
are being received at the funeral home.

GEORGE GAULT
George Gault, 71 of Lincoln Way,
Versailes Township, died this morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Viola
Bonnet, 2808 McKinley ave, after an extended illness.
A son of the late
Thomas and Nancy Baker Gault, he lived in this district 30 years. Mr. Gault was
a stonemason. Besides, Mrs. Bonnet, he leaves another sister, Mrs. Rachel
Morrison of Versailles Township; and a brother Arthur of this
city.
Friends are being received at the Berkey Funeral Home
where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E. J. Travers
officiating. Interment is to be in Richland
Cemetery.

CAPT. JAMES GAULT
AN
OLD RIVERMAN DEAD. Demise of Capt. James
Gault: Captain James
Gault, who captained the first steamboat which ever ploughed through the
waters of the Monongahela river, died last evening at the home of his son,
Thomas Gault, of Point Breeze. Decease was well-known all along the
Monongahela and Ohio rivers. For a number of years he was employed on
boats which ran on these streams, but finally located in Washington
county. For several of years he had been in declining health, suffering
with a complication of ills to which old age is heir. He had made his home
with his son in this city for some time. Deceased was 79 years of age and
leaves a large number of children and grandchildren. The children are:
Thomas of this city; J. T. (or I.) of Dravosburg; William of Pittsburg;
Mrs. Harvey, of Webster; Mrs. Butler and Mrs. C. E. Brooks, of this city;
and Mrs. McNeil of Chicago. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the
funeral services tomorrow evening at 7:30 o'clock at his late home. The
remains will be taken to Allegheny on Wednesday for interment in Uniondale
cemetery.

JOHN ARTHUR GAULT
John Arthur
Gault, 86, died today at 9:45 a.m. in his home, 1707 Scott St. He was
born on April 1, 1865 in Westmoreland County, a son of the late Thomas and Nancy
Baker Gault. He was a retired hammer driver of the National Tube Co. His wife
was the late Anna May Gault.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence E., two
daughters, Mrs. Mabel McDonald and Mrs. Zelda Smith all of McKeesport, 13
grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and three great great
grandchildren.
Friends are being
received at the Willig Funeral Home where services will be conducted on Monday
at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery.

MRS. NANCY BAKER GAULT
Mrs. Nancy Baker Gault70 years and 6 months
old, died last night at 1 o'clocl at her home, 730 Scott Street of cancer
of the stomach. She was born in old Bardstown, Pittsburg, and is survived
by her husband, Thomas Gault; three sons, James W., Thomas George and
Arthur, three daughters; Mrs. Rachel Morrison, Mrs. Arthur Bonnet, Mrs.
Louise Roseman, all of this city; three brothers, John Baker of Logans
Ferry, Pa., George Baker of Leechburg, Pa., and James Baker of Ruffsdale,
Pa.; one sister, Mrs. T. B. Hildebrand; eleven grandchildren and three
great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at her late home tomorrow
evening at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Howard Carmblett ? in charge. Interment
will be pr___ Friday morning at Richland Cemetery.

Thomas Arthur
Gault age 77 years 1 month and
16 days, one of widely known men died this morning at the family home 730
Scott St. He was born in Washington, Pa. but had resided in this area for
the past 45 years and had followed the carpenter trade for years. Survived
by three sons and two daughters; James W. George and John Arthur and Mrs.
Rachel Morrison and Mrs. Viola Bonnet all of McKeesport; 11 grandchildren
and six great grandchildren and two sisters, Nancy Harvey of Donora and
Rachel Tweedle of Webster. Funeral services will be held at the residence
Monday evening and interment will be ______ Cemetery Tuesday

MRS. GEORGE
GIBBS
Fatally Burned by Natural
Gas
Pittsburgh, Jan. 21,--By an explosion of natural gas from the Ohio Valley Company's
main line at Sewickley, Pa., last night, Mrs. George Gibbs was probably
fatally burned and her daughter seriously injured. The ladies were
carrying a gas lantern to light their way home, and the
gas, which was escaping from a break in the line, ignited, and
in an instant both were enveloped in flames. Mrs. Gibbs' clothing were entirely
burned off and her right side and face were terribly burned.

MAX GLICK
Max Glick, aged 29 years, a son of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Glick, of Homestead, Pa., died on Thursday evening of last week
at White Haven, after a lingering illness. The funeral took place at
Homestead on Sunday from the home of the parents of the deceased. The
funeral rites of the Independent Order B'Nai B'Rith were conducted by Messrs.
Louis Sulzbacher, Jospeh Lasdusky and L. Grossman. Rabbi Widom , of
the Rodeph Shalom Congregation of Homestead, officiated at the cemetery at
Honeville. Representatives of Magadla Lodge, I. O. O. F., of which the
deceased was a member, also attended the funeral. Mr. Glick is survived by
his wife, one child, his parents, four brothers and four sisters.

FREDERICK GROW
Suicide--On the morning of the
28th ult., Mr. Frederick Grow, dairyman, who resided near this city, put an
end to his earthly existence by cutting his throat with a razor.
The horrible act was perpetrated in his own house and
in the presence of his family. It appeared by the testimony
of some member of his household before the coroner's jury that the
deceased had determined to commit the dreadful act five or six years since.
He was about fifty two years of age. - (Pittsburgh) Statesmen.
