Marriage Licenses
The Director of the Orphans' Court Division of each county in Pennsylvania maintains the records of all marriages in the county where the marriage license was issued. The Allegheny County Orphans' Court Division maintains these records from 1885 to the present. To obtain a marriage record, a letter of request can be sent by mail to this address:

The request must include the husband or wife's complete name at the time of marriage,the year of marriage and the fee of $10.00 for a marriage record search and triple seal or $4.00 for a plain non-certified copy, payable by money order only .
The triple seal marriage record copy can be used for legal matters and the plain non-certified copy of a marriage record can be requested for personal and historical use.
