LACOCK, Abner --April 12, 1837 — In Beaver Co., Penn.

Gen. Abner Lacock, In his 67th year. He was born in Virginia, removed early in life to Pennsylvania, and was, from 1813 to 1819, a member of the U. S. Senate.

LAPORTE, Frank

Frank, the five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Laporte, who resides at No. 1137 First Avenue, Beaver Falls, died last evening at six o'clock, of diphtheria.

John W. MCCAIN

John W. McCain, 92, formerly of Beaver, died Wednesday afternoon, Feb.16, 2000, in The Medical Center, Beaver, following an extended illness.
Born September 12, 1907, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late James W. and Kathryn Stamm McCain, he had been a resident of Bridgewater and Beaver most of his life. He retired in 1972 as a layerout with the American Bridge Co., Ambridge, after 44 years, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, where he served as an Elder, Deacon and Trustee. A 1927 graduate of Rochester High School, he also was a member of the St. James Lodge F & AM No. 457; Eureka Royal Arch Chapter No. 157, Rochester; the Knights Templar, Beaver Falls, and was a former member of the Beaver County Camera Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Wilson McCain, in 1996; a son, William S. McCain, in 1953, and a brother and sister. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Gwendowlyn M. and Walter Arbutina, Springfield, Pa.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m in the Noll Funeral Home, 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 AM by his pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey A. Arnold. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made, if desired, to the Elevator fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 252 College Ave., Beaver Pa 15009.

PARTINGTON, George Westley

George Westley Partington, 59 of 1318 Fourth Avenue, Beaver Falls, died at Providence Hospital, Tuesday following a brief illness. He had been employed as a steel worker at Solomon's. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Harper Partington, one son, George Jr. of Beaver Falls; a daughter Mrs. Clyde Knight of this city, and three grandchildren, also the following brothers and sisters; Harry Partington of Ellwood City, Mrs Myrtle Bissell, Frank Partington, James Partington, Mrs. Maude Erath, Mrs. Pearl Erath and John Partington all of Beaver Falls. In the Beaver Falls Paper June 15 1939. I believe the death date is June 13, 1939 - jr.

PARTINGTON, Myrtle

Myrtle Partington - NT Oct 5 1975
Myrtle Frances Partington, 87, of 65 Pulaski Homes, Pulaski Township died Saturday at Rochester unit of Medical Center, of Beaver County where she had been a patient for six days. She was born Nov 12, 1887, in Freeman's Landing, W. VA. a daughter of the late John and Catherine Harper. She lived most of her life in the Beaver Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Partington, in 1939. Surviving are her son, George at home, a daughter, Mrs. James (Lovina) Weber, Chippewa Township; a sister, Charlotta Axson, Dearborn Mich, and two great greatgrandchildren. Friends are being received all day today (Oct 6 1975) at A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 14th Street and Eighth Avenue Beaver Falls. Partington: Services for Myrtle Frances Partington, 65 Pulaski Homes, Pulaski Township, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 14 th Street and Eighth Avenue, Beaver Falls with the Rev. Brusco, Pastor of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Chippewa Township, officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. The obituary for Myrtle Frances Partington, 65 Pulaski Homes, Pulaski Township, in the News Tribune Monday, omitted some survivors. It should have included four granchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as two great-great-grandchildren.
