| Dengler, Harvey C. | Killed While Hunting Rabbits: Special to The Inquirer. OLEY, Pa., Nov. 9 - Harvey C. Dengler, 17 years old, accidentally shot himself while hunting ribbits. He and his brother, John, 13 years old, chased a rabbit under a rail pile, and while John was doing sentinel duty at one end, Harvey laid flat on the ground, thinking he could chase the rabbit from his cover. He accidentally got against the gun, which discharged and the entire load penetrated his abdomen. | Deturck, Maria | Found Dead in Her Kitchen Mrs. Maria DeTurk, widow of Josiah DeTurk, Exeter township, about three and a half miles below Reading, was found dead in the kitchen of her residence about 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Her health had been failing for several years, and about five weeks ago she received a stroke of apoplexy. It is supposed that she received another stroke soon after she arose yesterday morning, which proved fatal. She was in the 64th year of her age, and her husband died twenty-two years ago. She was a daughter of the late Jacob Dick, of Cumru township, a sister of Amos Dick, Ninth and Court streets, and the mother of Mrs. E. O. | Devlin, Mrs. Kate | The remains of Kate, wife of John Devlin, who was found dead in the bath room of her residence at 244 Race street, Phila., were brought to this city at 6 p. m. Tuesday, after services had been conducted in Phila. The remains were taken to the residence of her sister, Mrs. Carrie Baum, 213 West Buttonwood, from where the funeral took place at noon to-day. | Dick, Nicholas | Mr. Nicholas Dick, who resides about four miles below this city, on the Schuylkill road, died very suddenly on Saturday afternoon last, at his residence. Mr. Dick was inthe city at noon on Saturday, and, on his return home, had a paralytic stroke which resulted as above. Mr. Dick was a well-to-do farmer and was highly respected. | Dunkleberger, Samuel | Post Mortem Examination - Samuel Dunkleberger died on Friday. He requested his family to get a physician to open and examine his body after his death, because he was sick and had a good many physicians prescribling for him, and they nearly all differed in opinion. The post mortem was made on Tuesday by Dr. Brobst, from Leesport, which revealed that he had consumption with enlargement of the heart, or Hypertophy; his left lung was entirely destroyed.
