Reading, May 15 - James A. Fasig, a well-known citizen, died this morning at his residence, 205 Oley street, in the 60th year of his age. Deceased was a soldier in the late war, and was a prominent member of the G. A. R. He was also secretary and treasurer of the Rainbow Fire Company for a number of years

Aged Wanderer a Suicide: Special to the Inquirer,:
OLEY, Pa., Feb 15 - John Fry, a homeless wanderer, who slept in barns throughout the Oley valley and did odd jobs for farmers at times, took his life with a rope made from strips of a flour bag, in the barn on the farm of Dr. Martin DeTurck, near town. The evening before he applied for lodging and gave up a box of matches. His body was found in a pile of straw, with his neck broken. he was 72 years old.
