| Hahn, John G. | Joh G. Hahn, son of Adam Hahn, of Hamburg, died at Mahoney city, on MOnday Morning. His remains were brought to Hamburg for burial. The funeral, headed by the Hamburg Cornet Band, Order of Knights of Pythias from Mahoney city and Leesport, took place on Wednesday afternoon at teh St. John's Church. Hahn was a member of Co. F., 116th Regiment Penna. Vols., and leaves a wife and child to mourn his untimely death. | Heckman, Peter D. | Shoemakersville - Death of Peter D. Heckman Peter D. Heckmand died of typhoid pneumonia, on his farm, in Perry, three miles east of town, aged 67 years, 7 months and 21 days. Interment on Friday, Oct 19, in the Shoemakersville Evangelical cemetery at 10:30 a. m. Services in the U. B. church, Shoemakersville. Deceased was a member of Company I, 167th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, of the Civil War. His widow (nee Hendricks) and these children survive; John of Toledo, Ohio: Charles, of Reading; Samuel, of Spring City: Mrs. Susan Pauley, Mrs. Barbara Berg, Mrs. Mary Long, Mrs. Ida Heim and Mrs. Annie Schlear, of Reading: Mrs. Minnie Dussinger, at home. One son, Peter and a daughter Lizzie, wife of Martin Jones are dead. | Heller, Francis | The funeral of Francis Heller took place from his residence, 38 North 9th, at 8:30 a. m. The cortege proceeded to St. Paul's Catholic church, where a high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. Father Michel. The remains reposed in a black cloth covered casket. The bearers were Joseph Zumkeller, John Smith, Fred. Weilandt, Jacob Steckler, Fred. P. Stephen and Jacob Schaffner. Among those present from out of town were William Heller and family, of Quakertown; Mrs. J. Zander and daughter, of Pennsburg, Montgomery county, and T. J. Heller, of Jenkintown. Pa. Interment in the Catholic cemetery by Funeral Director Felix. Deceased was 69 years of age. He was born in Trumbauersville, Bucks county, and came to Reading 30 years ago. Shortly after arriving here he engaged in the grocery and produce business at 832 Walnut. He conducted the place over 12 years, during which time he had a stand at the Farmers’ market, at 9th and Cherry. Later he became proprietor of the confectionery establishment at 238 North 9th, succeeding his son, George H. Heller. Mr. Heller conducted the place up to the time of his illness. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic church and besides his widow is survived by two children, Thomas J. | Hetrich, Henry A. | Henry A. Hetrick, died of complications of diseases at 8:20 a.m. today at his residence 512 Bingamen Street, age 46 years, 07 months and 10 days. He was ailing 7 months and confined to bed 1 week. Deceased was born in Reading and lived in this city all his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hetrick, both deceased. Previous to his last illness Mr. Hetrick was employed as a clerk in the office of the Reading Hardware Works which position he held for 10 years. Previous to this he worked in the office of the Reading Iron Company in whose employment he entered when young. He was a member of St. Peter's M. E. Church, Camp 161 P. O. S. of A., Freedom Circle, Brotherhood of Union, Neversink Lodge, Knights of Pythias, Reading Hardware Beneficial Association, Wyomissing Council, Royal Arcanum and Liberty Fire Company. | Hetrich, John, Jr. | John Hetrick, Jr., aged 48, son of John Hetrick, 319 South 7th Street, for the past 9 months, an inmate of Homeopathic Hospital, suffering from asthma and dropsy, died Sunday morning. For a number of years he was a railroader during which he contracted his throat infection. He formally resided with his sister, Mrs. Emma Mannerbach, 6 Neversink Street. After quitting railroading he learned bottle covering at which he became quite expert and for some time carried on the business in New York returning home last summer being compelled to relinquish all working owing to his sickness. He was married and leaves 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.
