| Heckman, Peter D. | Shoemakersville - Death of Peter D. Heckman Peter D. Heckmand died of typhoid pneumonia, on his farm, in Perry, three miles east of town, aged 67 years, 7 months and 21 days. Interment on Friday, Oct 19, in the Shoemakersville Evangelical cemetery at 10:30 a. m. Services in the U. B. church, Shoemakersville. Deceased was a member of Company I, 167th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, of the Civil War. His widow (nee Hendricks) and these children survive; John of Toledo, Ohio: Charles, of Reading; Samuel, of Spring City: Mrs. Susan Pauley, Mrs. Barbara Berg, Mrs. Mary Long, Mrs. Ida Heim and Mrs. Annie Schlear, of Reading: Mrs. Minnie Dussinger, at home. One son, Peter and a daughter Lizzie, wife of Martin Jones are dead.
