Lawrence, Mrs. Sarah The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Lawrence took place from the residence of her son, Clayton Lawrence, 1228 Chestnut, and was largely attended. The remains wera ttired in black and lay in a richly mounted casket, the silver plate of which bore the name and age of the deceased. Services were conducted at the house by Rev. S. H. Hoover. Besides his widow, Catherine, deceased was survived by four sons, Adam, Henry H., Frederick J., and Paul W.; two daughters, Emma E. and Mary Ellen; three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Madeira, BARBARA GRAUL and SUSAN HOMAN, all of Reading, and a brother DANIEL, of Iowa. Lechner, Samuel Samuel Lechner

Manatawny, July 30; Samuel Lechner, 75, died yesterday in his home here.

Born in Oley Township, a son of Wallace and Fannie (Haas) Lechner, he was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Spangsville.

Lechner is survived by his widow, Katie (Drumheller) Lechner, and four daughters: Bertha, wife of Michael puchinsky, Reading; Mabel, wife of George S. Bennethum, this place; Ethel, wife of Harrison P. Christman, Oley, and Edna, at home.

Also, two sons, Paul, of Oley, and Stanley, at home; seven grandchildren, and two brothers; Charles, of Birdsboro R.D.; and Wilson, of Boyertown.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Schwenk Funeral Home, Boyertown, the Rev. Lawrence R. Tropp officiating. Burial will be in Oley Church Cemetery, Spangsville.
