Shearer, David	Reading, Pa., June 29: David Shearer, one of the oldest residents of the county, died of general debility at his home in Maidencreek township today, two days after the celebration of his 99th birthday anniversary. He was taken ill and went to bed on is birthday. He was a carpenter and contractor for many years and built many Berks county barns in the days when timbers were hewn by hand. He was the last of a family of ten, all of whom lived to ripe old age. His wife died fourteen years ago.
