| Yerger, Maggie V. | "Maggie V. Yerger, 86, of The Lutheran Home at Topton, died Saturday in its Henry Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Paul M. Yerger. Born in Blandon, Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles R. and Lulu (George) Adams. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville. Survivors: Daughters, Anna M., wife of Martin Heldeman of Robesonia, and Nancy J. Borst of Fleetwood; son, Paul H. of Burlington, Wash.; brother, Charles G. of West Lawn; sisters, Irene Fritzinger of Houston, Texas, Mary Woerner of Temple, Berks County, Amela Levan of Wyomissing, Nora, wife of Albert Lyons of New Hope, and Rose Marie, wife of Bruce Rutter of Phoenix, Ariz.; 15 grandsons and 27 great-grandchildren. | Yeager, James T. | James T. Yeager, a well-known citizen, died at his residence, 511 South 5th , in his 77th year. Deceased had been suffering with rheumatism for years, but the immediate cause of his death was apoplexy, with which he was stricken a week ago. Mr. Yeager was a son of the late Peter Yeager, and was the last surviving member of his family. He was employed as a timekeeper at the P. & R. shops at 7th and Chestnut for a continuouse period of 32 years, and was retired a few years ago owing to his age. He had no regular occupation since then. Mr. Yeager was the last surviving member of the original charter members of the First Universalist church, and was a member of that church continuously ever since. He took an active interest in the church and was at one time a deacon. Deceased was greatly interested in the construction of the new church and visited the edifice daily as long as health would permit, and spent hours there watching the men at work. He was a former member of the Liberty fire company.
