1843 Tax List for Perry Township, Greene County, PA

Transcribed by Debbie Ovechka

Continuing with the earliest tax lists for each township in Greene County, we have herewith the Perry Township list for the year 1843. Perry Township was formed in 1842 (I believe) from Whiteley Township; the assessor was Joseph Connor. The occupations were not designated, but many paid a tax on an occupation; also a tax was placed on watches.
