Obviously the enterprise represented by this ledger was an extensive one. In a sparsely populated region what was available at the local market? Was it only bare necessities? Or some of the finer things always longed for but not often found? Actually it was both as we let the ledger speak for itself. The original spelling is retained without explanation where necessary. Probably largest single group of items was cloth. Most of this is only a name without knowing whether linen, wool or cotton.
