HON. CHARLES O. HUNSICKER, attorney-at-law, and former mayor of Allentown, was born in Allentown, August 18, 1878, the son of James F. and Mary Hannah (Schrader) Hunsicker. He attended the Allentown High School, and in 1896 was graduated from the Mercersburg Academy. He pursued his studies at Franklin and Marshall College, from which institution he was graduated in 1900. In 1903 he finished his studies at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr. Hunsicker at once took up the practice of law in Allentown and became an ardent supporter of the Republican party. When but thirty-one years of age he was elected mayor of the city of Allentown, being the youngest incumbent who has held that high office. He is a man of sterling worht to the community, by reason of his executive and business ability, and his faculty for making friends. He has developed a large portion of th eWest End, Allentown's residential section, and has built hundreds of home sthrough-out the city. He is active in the work of Salem Reformed Church and Sunday School, and is a member of many social and fraternal organizations about the city. He married Miss Lillian L. Henninger, of Allentown.
