HARRY W. JORDAN, a strong factor in the success of the firm of Koch Brothers, clothiers and furnishers, through his ability as cutter, designer and buyer of woolens, needs no introduction to hundreds of patrons of this great clothing store and in the leading circles of America's prominent manufacturers and woolen mills. Mr. Jordan was born in Coopersburg, where he attended the borough's schools. HIs early inclination led him to maintain a merchant tailoring business in his home town for a few years. After his successful venture he aspired for larger fields and entered the employ of Koch Brothers. After a through training in the John Mitchell and other prominent cutting schools, his advance in the tailoring department of this establishment steadily progressed to a high stage of efficiency; and not only a fine custom tailoring, but also in his splendid ability in assisting Frank W. Koch in the carful buying of woolens and in the manufacture of high-class ready-to-wear clothes, for which this firm has enjoyed such an enviable reputation for more than forty years. On January 1, 1907, Thomas J. Koch, who had purchased his brother's interest in the business after the latter's death, en route to London, England, reorganized his business, connecting himself with himself Mr. Jordan and other faithful employees. After the death of Thomas J. Koch, Mr. Jordan became one of the executive heads of the firm. Mr. Jordan's personality is reflected in his cheerful disposition among patrons, employees and buyers, who highly value his thorough mastery of his profession. Mr. Jordan enjoys the fellowship of the Reformed Church, the Elks, the Masons and other fraternal organizations.
