ROBERT LANGE, member of the firm of Ruhe & Lange, architects, was born in New York City, May 8, 1876, a son of Adolph and Emilie Lange. He was educated in the public schools of New York and the Cooper Union, after which he studied architecture and planning with some of the city's leading firms. Among the architects with whom he served his apprenticeship were such firms as the George B. Post & Son and Ernest Flagg. Mr. Lange came to Allentown in 1902 and immediately entered into partnership with Wallace E. Ruhe, the firm being known by the name of Ruhe & Lange. He has proven himself a valuable asset to the community and is active in all its affairs. His firm has planned and supervised the erection of the majority of Allentown's newest and largest buildings. Mr. Lange is active in the Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of teh Jordan Lodge of Masons, Royal Arch Chapter, Allen Council, Knights Templar and Lulu Temple. He is also connected with the National Geographic Society. On October 6, 1908, he married Maude Ellis, daughter of Sydney E. and Frances M. Ellis, of Waverly, N. J. |
