Upon coming to Allentown he pursued a course in the Allentown Business College, and then for a period of six years was employed as clerk in the store of E. S. Shimer & Co. He founded the Loux Creamery Company which he, in turn, sold in 1900, and later conducted a creamery business in Bucks County. He is also an organizer and president of the Allentown Grocery Company, and is a member of the Allentown Retail Grocers' Association. In 1875 Mr. Loux married Rosie E. Fritz, of Allentown.
