This Indenture made this second day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Between MICHAEL KORN and HENRY HOYMAN administrators of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of MICHAEL KORN late of Southampton Township in the County of Somerset and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania deceased of the one part and JACOB COOK of the same place of the other part. Whereas the said MICHAEL KORN was in his lifetime lawfully seized in his demise as of fee of land in two certain plantations or tracts of land situate in Southampton Township Somerset County aforesaid bounded by lands of DANIEL KORN, HENRY HOYMAN, JACOB WITT SENR., and others one of which contains about one hundred and eight acres and allowances the other adjoining the first and lands of the said JACOB COOK, RICHARD GAUMER and others containing about one hundred acres and allowances with the appurtenances and being so thereof seized as aforesaid Died intestate and whereas at an Orphans Court held at Somerset in and for the County of Somerset aforesaid the 18th day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty nine upon the petition of DANIEL KORN eldest son and heirs at law of the said MICHAEL KORN praying the court to award an inquest to make partition of the said Real Estate of the said Intestate in the said petition mentioned to and among his Children and representatives in such manner and such proportions as by the law of Pennsylvania is Directed and appointed if such partition could be made without prejudice to or spoiling the whole otherwise to value and appraise the same the said Inquest was awarded by the court according to the prayer of the said petitioner. Whereupon a writ of Partition or valuation issued out of the said Court bearing teste the (blank) day of (blank) to the Sheriff of the said County directed Commanding him to summon an inquest to make partition of the said real Estate to and among the Children and representatives of the said intestate according to law if such partition could thereof be made without prejudice to and spoiling the whole but if such partition could not be thereof made as aforesaid then to value and appraise the same. And that the partition or valuation so made he should distinctly and openly have before the Judges of the said court at Somerset aforesaid the 2nd day of June 1829 at which day before the Judges aforesaid the Sheriff of the said County to wit JOSEPH IMHOFF ESQ. made return of the said writ with a schedule thereunto annexed by which Schedule or Inquisition under the hand and seal as well of the said Sheriff at of the inquest therein named it appears by the oath and affirmation of the said inquest that the real estate in the said writ mentioned could not be divided to and among the parties therein named without prejudice to or spoiling the whole thereof and therefore the inquest aforesaid upon their oaths and affirmations aforesaid had valued and appraised the same to wit the first above mentioned tract to the sum of (blank) dollars and (blank) cents per acre which return and valuation were on motion confirmed by the court and whereas all the heirs and legal representatives of the said MICHAEL KORN having severally and respectively refused to take the said Plantations and tracts of land at the valuation aforesaid the said court did upon the application of the said DANIEL KORN grant a rule upon all the heirs and legal representatives of the said Intestate to Their Cause at an Orphans Court to be held at Somerset in and for the County of Somerset on the Second of September then next why the real Estate Should not be Sold according to the act of General Assembly in such case made and provided at which said time and place and legal notice of the aforesaid rule being proved to have been duly prove to all the heirs and Legal representatives of the said Intestate and no cause being shown why the said real Estate should not be Sold as aforesaid the Said Court did then and there make an order Commanding the Said MICHAEL KORNS and HENRY HOYMAN administrators as aforesaid to expose the foresaid Plantation and Tracts of land of the Said interstate to public Sale on the premises upon the first Monday in June in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty upon the terms in the said order directed in pursuance whereof the Said administrators having first given sufficient security according to law for the faithful execution of the power committed to them did on the day and at the place in the Said order directed to expose the premises therein mentioned to Sale by Public Vendue and Sold the Same to JACOB COOK the first mentioned tract at and for thirty five hundred and thirty three dollars and one cent and the other tract at and for the sum of thirteen hundred and eighty five dollars and fourteen cents he being the highest and best bidder and that the highest and best price bidden for the same which sale on return thereof made to the Judges of the same Court on the first day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty was confirmed and it was considered and adjudged by the Said Court that the Said plantations and tracts of lands with the appurtenances so sold as aforesaid should be transferred and vested in the said JACOB COOK a fully as the said MICHAEL KORN held the same at this decease subject and liable to the payment of the purchase money according to the terms prescribed in the said order as by the records and proceedings of the same Court remaining at Somerset aforesaid relation being thereunto had will more fully and at large appear. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said MICHAEL KORN and HENRY HOYMAN administrators as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of $4888 15/100 Dollars to them in hand paid by the said JACOB COOK at and before the Ensealing and delivery Thereof the receipt whereof and payment they do Hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said JACOB COOK his heirs executors and administrators by these presents have granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents (By virtue of the powers and authorities to them Given by the aforesaid order of Orphans Court and pursuant to the directions thereof) do grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said JACOB COOK his heirs and assigns all that the above mentioned described two Plantations and Tracts of land with the appurtenances. Together with all and singular the houses, out houses, buildings barns, stables, ways, woods, water, water courses, rights liberties privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertain and the reversion and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest claim property and demand whatsoever of the said MICHAEL KORN in his lifetime and immediately before the time of his decease of in to or out of the same. To Have and To Hold the said Plantations and Tracts of land Hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said JACOB COOK his heirs and assigns and to only proper use benefit and behoof of the said JACOB COOK his heirs and assigns forever. And the said MICHAEL KORN and HENRY HOYMAN do severally but not jointly or one for the other or for the act or deed of the other but each for his own acts only covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Cook his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said MICHAEL KORN and HENRY HOYMAN have not nor hath either of them done Committed or wantingly? or willing by suffered to be done or committed any act matter or thing whatsoever whereby the premises aforesaid or any part thereof is are or shall or may be impeached charged or incumbered in title Charge or Estate or otherwise Howsoever. This Indenture made the seventh day of February one thousand eight hundred and eighty between DENNIS COOK and ELIZABETH his wife of Southampton Township, Somerset County Pennsylvania and SIMON BLUBAUGH of Alleghany County Maryland. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Six thousand Dollars ($6000.00) Dollars lawful money of the United States of American unto them well and truly paid by the said party to the second party at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these present do grant bargain sell align enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns forever al the following described property Viz: A certain tract of land situate in Southampton township Somerset County Penna Containing One hundred and ninety four acres and one hundred and thirty five perches more or less bound and described s follows to wit: adjoining land formerly owned by DANIEL GAUMER and WELLERSBURG COMPANY and by land now owned by JESSE BEAL, BENJAMIN BAKER and others lately the same tract of land which said grantor one of the heirs and legal representatives of JACOB COOK dec'd late of Southampton township, Somerset County Penna came into Court and took the above described tract of land at the appraised value $6413.60 which reference thereto being had in the Orphans Court Recorded of Somerset County Penna Vol. 8, Page 253 and 254 more fully at large appears.

Together with all and singular the improvements ways waters, water courses right liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold said described Real Estate hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said part of the second part heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the said party of the first part and their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof Shall and will warrant and forever defend. Agreement - GEORGE COOK with SAMUEL WITT

Whereas SAMUEL WITT and GEORGE COOK JUNIOR on the 19th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five entered into an Article of Agreement that the said SAMUEL WITT sold to the Said GEORGE COOK JUNIOR a certain tract of land containing one hundred and ten acres, and allowance lying in Southampton Township Somerset County State of Pennsylvania adjoining Lands of SAMUEL WITT and others for the Sum of one hundred Sixty dollars, know ye that the Said parties on the twelvth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty have mutually agreed to cancel and make null and void the above mentioned contract in all and every part by the Said SAMUEL WITT paying to the Said GEORGE COOK JUNIOR his heirs and assigns the Sum of four hundred dollars to be paid as follows to wit Sixty dollars in hand on the first day of October next forty dollars and on the tenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty one fifty dollars (the recorder of deeds the day this was recorded, must have left out some words) and fifty dollars on the tenth day of November thereafter and fifty dollars on the tenth day of November thereafter and fifty dollars on the tenth day of November thereafter and fifty dollars on the tenth day of November thereafter and fifty dollars on the tenth day of November thereafter the said GEORGE COOK JUNIOR doth promise and agree to give full and peaceable Possession on the payment of the forty dollars on the first day of October next to the Said SAMUEL WITT and the Said SAMUEL WITT doth for himself and his heirs and assigns promise and agree to keep the Said GOERGE COOK his heirs and assigns from any further obligations as related to the above mentioned Articles of Agreement. And for the true performance of all and every the covenants and agreements aforesaid Each of the Said parties Bindeth himself his heirs Executors and Administrators and Assigns in the pennel Sum of eight hundred dollars firmly by these presents in Witness whereof the parties have hereunto Set their hands and Seals the day first above written.

Know all men by these presents that I DANIEL KORNS of Southampton Township Somerset County and State of Pennsylvania one of heirs and Legal Representatives of MICHAEL KORNS Late of the same place deceased from and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred and fifty dollars Lawful Money of the United States to me in hand paid by JACOB COOK of the township county and State aforesaid at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the Receipt whereof is being acknowledge have Granted, Bargained, Sold, Released and Confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain, sell release and confirm unto the Said JACOB COOK his heirs and assigns the one undivided twelfth part or all my share, right, title, interest property claim and demand whatsoever in to or out of two Certain plantations or tract of Land Situate in Southampton Township Somerset County in the State aforesaid Containing two hundred Eighty four? Acres or thereabouts be the same more or Less adjoining Lands, of JOSEPH WITT, HENRY HOYMAN, RICHARD GAUMER and others it being the mansion place of the said deceased & the other tract of Land called GLAZES GLOSS? Adjoining DANIEL KORNS, JACOB COOK and others all Late the estate of the said MICHAEL KORNS deceased. Together with all and Singular the rights mentions and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversions and remainders, rents issue and profits thereof. To Have And To Hold the Said undivided twelfth part or Share of the two above Mentioned tracts of Land and premises hereby Bargained and Sold or Mentioned or _ so to be with the appurtenances unto the Said JACOB his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said JACOB COOK his Heirs and assigns forever and the Said DANIEL KORNS his heirs the said hereby granted Share and premises unto the Said JACOB COOK his heirs and assign against him the Said DANIEL KORNS and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever claiming or to Claim by from or under him them or any of them Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. This Indenture made this fourth day of October in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five Between JACOB COOK and CATHERINE his wife of Southampton township Somerset county in the State of Pennsylvania parties of the first part and the REV'D BENJAMIN KNEPPER, JEREMIAH WINGERT, JOHN J. WITT & JOHN J. BITTNER of the township county and State aforesaid of trustees of the Lutheran and german reformed church at wellersburgh parties of the Second part witness that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum of Fifteen dollars to them in hand paid by the parties of the Second part doth hereby grant bargain Sell assign release and convey unto the Said BENJAMIN KNEPPER, JEREMIAH WINGERT, JOHN J. This Indenture Made the eleventh day of June in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty Six, Between SAMUEL GAUMER Administrator of All and Singular the Good and chattels rights, and credits which were of SAMUEL WITT late of Southampton Township deceased of the first part and JOHN LONG of the same place of the other part.

Whereas the Said SAMUEL WITT in his lifetime and at the time of his death was Seized in his demise as of fee of in and to one hundred and fifty Acres and allowance of land situate in Southampton Township Somerset County and State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows to wit. Beginning at a chestnut on a tract Warranted in the mane of JAMES BLACK and running South forty _ degrees West one hundred and Sixty two perches to a post then by more lands of the Said deceased forth forty nine degrees east Eighty Six perches to a post thence South eighty five degrees East one hundred and Seventeen perches to a post thence north forty one degrees east ninety one perches to a hickory thence north forty eight degrees West one hundred and eighty three perches to the Beginning with the appurtenances. And Whereas at an Orphans Court held at Somerset in and for the County of Somerset on the eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty two upon the Petition of SAMUEL GAUMER the Administrator aforesaid Stating inter alia to the Said Court that the personal estate of the Said Deceased was not sufficient to pay the debts of the Said Intestate and prays the Court to direct a Sale to be made of the real estate of Said intestate among which was included the land above described it was Considering and directed by the said court that the real estate of said intestate Should be Sold at public Sale in pursuance of which Said order the said SAMUEL GAUMER, Administrator, as aforesaid after having given due public and timely notice on the time and place of the Sale did on the 4th day of October one thousand eight hundred and forty four _ a portion of the real estate of Said deceased to Sale by public vendue or Outcry and Sold the premises above described to wit One Hundred and fifty acres and allowance to JOHN LONG for the sum of six hundred Dollars he being the highest bidder and that the best price bidden for the Same which Sale on report thereof made to the Judges of the Said County was on the Sixth day of December following by them Confirmed and it was Considered and adjudged by the Said Court That the Same Should be And remain firm and Stable forever, as the records and proceedings of the Said Court relation being thereunto had will at large appear. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the saide SAMUEL GAUMER for and in Consideration of the Sum of Six hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the Said JOHN LONG his heirs Executors and Administrators, by these presents hath Granted bargained Sold released and Confirmed and by these presents in pursuance and by order of Said Court do Grant bargain Sell Release and confirm unto the Said JOHN LONG and to his heirs and assigns. All that above described one hundred and fifty Acres of land & allowance be the same more or less. Together with all and Singular other the houses, out houses, buildings, stables, ways, water, Water Courses, rights Liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof And also all the estate right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever of the Said SAMUEL WITT at and immediately before the time of his decease in law or equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in, to, or out of the Same. To have and to hold the Said piece or parcel of one hundred and Fifty Acres of land hereditaments, and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said JOHN LONG his heirs and assign to the only proper use and behoof of the Said JOHN LONG his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the Said SAMUEL GAUMER hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
