Notice
Died, near Berlin, Somerset county, Pa., on the 17th instant, John Geddis or Gedds, a drover, from Franklin or Adams county, Pa.; said he had a sister residing in New York. Was about 6 feet high, dark complexion, full faced, and between 38 and 40 years of age - by birth an Irishman. The Heirs or Representatives of the deceased, are requested to come forward and substantiate their claims to the effects of the said deceased.

Joseph Lenhart, a young man of Somerset county, was killed on the 27th ult., by the limb of a tree which he had cut down falling on his head.
Henry Maybush
Bedford Gazette (Bedford, Pennsylvania) July 7, 1899
One of the oldest citizens of the county died at New Baltimore on the 22nd of June, aged about eighty-two years. He was Henry Maybush, who had been living alone for a number of years. His wife died some years ago. He has a son residing in California and a married daughter in Jersey City. He would not go to make his home with either, but preferred to live in New Baltimore. He is believed to have been quite wealthy - Somerset Herald.
