
Will of Daniel Beyer

In the name of God amen
I Daniel Beyer of the borough of Lewisburg in the County of Union, being weak in body and sound in recent memory and understanding, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish, this my last will and testament, in manner and form following-
First it is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon after my decease as may be convenient.
2nd It is my will that my beloved wife Rebecca and my father-in-law Philip Leebrick be my executors of this my last will and testament-
3rd It is my will that my personal estate should remain in the hands of my wife, and be disposed by my executors as they may deem most to the advantage of my estate, and comfort of my wife and children.
4th It is my will that my children should be well educated the expenses thereof to be paid out of my estate.
5th It is my will that my real estate of every description should not now be sold, unless something should turn up three or four years hence, to raise the price of real property, then and in such case I do authorize my said executors to sell, the same or any part thereof, as they may think proper, or make sale of the same at any time they may think proper so as to promote the comfort of my wife and children.
6th It is my will in case of the decease of my beloved wife and children before [me, or] should my children die before they should have heirs, that my property should be disposed of as follows, to wit,
7th I give and bequeath unto my two sisters, Catharine Sargant and Maria Waganer each five hundred dollars to be paid to them or their heirs-
8th It is my will and I do hereby give and bequeath unto Margaret Armstrong - Mary Harris - Jane McClure and Jonathan McClure each one hundred dollars-
9th It is further my will that the remaining part of my estate be equally divided between the brothers and sisters of my beloved wife or their heirs,
10th It is further my will should my wife and children live to enjoy my estate that the same when sold should be equally divided between my beloved wife and children. And in case my beloved wife should survive my children before my children have heirs, then and in such case, my beloved wife to have the whole of my estate, and after her decease to be disposed of, as mentioned, in the seventh, eighth and ninth items of this my will and testament.
Imprimis, I do declare this and none other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the thirtieth day of October One thousand eight hundred and twenty-six.
