We learn that in some parts of Mercer county the frost has been equally destructive. - Venango Democrat.

Hotel At Emlenton
Mr. S. R. Stratton, the well-known proprietor of the Exchange Hotel at Franklin, has leased the large, new four story hotel at Emlenton, and intends furnishing it in an elegant and substantial manner, and with due regard to all modern hotel conveniences. The location is but six miles from Parker's Landing, and therefore enjoys an advantageous position for the public patronage of that prosperous region. It will be opened about the first of April. Mr. Stratton has already three hotels under his personal management, viz: The Exchange, US. Hotel and Crawford House. With the further acquisition of Emlenton, he may be said to enjoy a monopoly in that line, and he is fully cabale of running it to the entire public satisfaction.
