Distressing Casualty

On Saturday last, a son of Mrs. Warner of South Huntingdon township, aged 9 years, was amusing himself in a meadow, where several persons were engaged in mowing grass. Notwithstanding the frequent cautions given by the workmen, the child, unobserved ran into the grass before one of them, and was so shockingly cut as to expire in a few minutes after. They scythe entered his leg immediately above the knee and perforated through the flesh up to his hip, cutting all the main arteries of the limb.
