Say Remington Was Insane
Newport, R. I. Aug 20 - It is said by friends of the Van Alens that Robert R. Remington, who shot and killed himself
yesterday, was insane. He has been engaged to Miss May Van Alen and she had broken the engagement. This, it is
believed, led to the suicide. (Walnut Valley Times, August 22, 1902, Volume XXXIII, Number 31, El
