Burial in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery

 


 

The cemetery is located one and a half miles east of Fere-en-Tardenois, Aisne, Picardy, France and about fourteen miles northeast of Chateau-Thierry.  Plots A through D contain the graves of 6,012 American soldiers who died while fighting in this area in Wold War I.  There is also a monument for 241 American soldiers whose remains were never recovered.  It is maintained by the American Battle Monuments Commission.
