George C. Klatte
Aiken, Jan. 5 – George C. Klatte, a well know and highly respected citizen of Aiken, who for the past several years has been a printer engaged in business there, died Thursday night at 10:30 o'clock at his home after an illness that has lasted for more than a year. The deceased was about 45 years of age, and lifelong resident of Aiken, having been born and reared here. He was held in high esteem by his fellow citizens. Besides his wife and four stepchildren, he is survived by his father, one sister and one brother. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. Thaddeus Episcopal church, of which the deceased was a member, and were conducted by Rev. R. C. Jeter, the interment being in Bethany cemetery.

Elliott (Rabbit) Ganttt
WAGENER. S.C.-Elliott (Rabbit) Gantt, 76, formerly of Wagener and Charleston, died Friday morning in a hospital in Orlando, Fla., where he was visiting his daughter.  He was the son of the late Ray and Anna Gantt.  Date: 1964-09-26; Paper: Augusta Chronicle contributed by a Friend of Genealogy

BELVEDERE. S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. James W. Hammett Jr.. 58. of 114 Horseshoe Road. Belvedere, who died Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Posey's Funeral Home Chapel. North Augusta.  The Rev. Frank Harrington will officiate. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be J. E. Walter. R. E. Reutter. B. L. Bowers. R. G. Rodman. George Lombard and W. GLOVERVILLE, S.C. - Funeral services for Hildon Lee Hensley. 31. of Highway 21. Gloverville. who died Saturday. will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. John A. Wrenn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Artt Jackson
Warrenville. S.C. Artt Jackson, 45 of Warrenville formerly  of Wagener S C   died Wednesday Funeral services will be held at  4 p m Friday in the Bethear Baptist Church with the Rev Don Maxwell and the Rev. Daniel Mundv officiating Burial will be in the church cemetery.  He was a construction worker.  Surviors include three daughters Miss Annie Mae Jackson and Miss Joanne Jackson both of Columbia. SALLEY. SC. - Mrs. Opal McLane Kitchings. 82. of the Tabernacle Section of Aiken County, died Tuesday in New Ellenton.

Wade H. Heath
LANGLEY. S.C. - Wade Hampton Heath. 83. Route l, Warrenville. S.C. died Friday in an Aiken County hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Posey's Funeral Home Chapel. Langley. with the Revs. B.F. Coyle and R.F. Ellenberg officiating. Burial will be in Pentecost Methodist Church Cemetery.  A native of Aiken County, he was a retired farmer and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.  Survivors include his widow. Hattie Johnson

Mrs. Nancy Garvin, relict of the late Larkin Garvin, passed away at her home in the Tabernacle section on Thursday, Dec. 27, in her 86th year. She leaves to mourn her six children, two brothers and one sister. Burial took place Friday following her demise at Wagener Cemetery , Rev. J. N. Tolar officiating. Mrs. Garvin was a member of the Bethear Baptist, church for years, and was a most lovable character.
