Dr. W. L. Seigler

Aiken, May 13, Dr. W. L. Seigler, an extensive farmer of Eureka, died Sunday night, May 12, at the Aiken Hospital after an illness of several weeks, the result of a stroke of paralysis. Dr. Seigler was 72 years of age and had been married three times. For several years he lived in Florida, and many years ago he practiced denistry in Aiken. He is survived by one son 16 years of age and one brother living at Ridge Spring. (The State May 19, 1918)


Carl J. Shealy, Aiken Physician

NORTH AUGUSTA -- Services for Carl J. Shealy, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to the church organ fund or the Margaret J. Weston Rural Health Center, P.O. Box 277, Clearwater 29822. Dr. Shealy died Saturday, May 28, 1994. Born in Lexington County, he retired as a medical doctor from the Veterans Administration Medical Center of Augusta and worked with the Margaret J. Weston Rural Health Center of Clearwater. He was a former member of the Aiken County School Board and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was former president of the church council. Surviving are his wife, Margaret T. Shealy; sons, Stuart Shealy of Farragut, Tenn., Arthur Shealy of North Augusta, Christopher Shealy of Columbia and Carl Shealy of Lake Murray; and five grandchildren. Maybele Morris Sheppard
BATH, S. C. Mrs. Maybele: Morris Sheppard, 75, of 421 Front St., Bath, S.C., died early Thursday in the Aiken County Hospital after an extended illness. She was the widow of the late William A. Sheppard.  Mrs. Sheppard was a member of the Bath Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth Bible Class.  Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at the Bath Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Shaw and the Rev. A. F. Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Langley Cemetery.  Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lessie Lee Kight, Mrs. Beatrice Simmons and Mrs. Alex Williams, all of Bath, S. C; a son, Alonzo Sheppard of Savannah, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 24 great -grandchildren.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers and the Ruth Bible Class will be honorary pallbearers.  Friends may call at the residence.  Date: 1964-09-26; Paper: Augusta Chronicle contributed by a Friend of Genealogy.

Allen Starnes
PERRY. SC. - Allen Starnes. 74. died at his residence near Perry Friday afternoon.  Funeral services will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at Clinton Methodist Church with the Rev. David Spivey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Baughman Funeral Home in Wagener. S.C.  Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Bachman Starnes: a sister, Mrs. Lula M. Poole of Salley  S.C; two step-daughters. Mrs. Doris Harold of Jacksonville. Fla.. and Mrs. Lois Rollins of Edenton. N.C.: and two step-sons. Jasper L Mack of Columbia. S.C. and Charles F. Mack of Miami. Fla. Otis Stone
Otis Lamar Stone, 28, Resident of Varnville, Passes in Infirmary
VARNVILLE S.C., May 24—Otis Lamar Stone, 28, died early, today in a Beaufort hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a. m. from the graveside In Crews cemetery with the Rev. Frank Fisher and the Rev. O. S. Ulmer officiating.  He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Arthur Stone of Varnville; two brothers. Joe H. Stone of Charleston and Arthur R. Stone Jr. of Varnville: two sisters, Miss Linnie Stone and Miss Ella Rhee Stone, both of Varnvllle.
