Enoch Davis

Rev. Enoch Davis family came from Kings
Mountain, N.C.
Later he lived with a son, Beaty
Davis at E. Street, Anderson Mill, Anderson, S.C.
Sons: Beaty, Pritchard - lived in Lockhart, S.C.;
William Jasper - son, Curtiss Reed Davis (Alice), 3325 Keys
Street, Anderson, S.C.; and Colt.
Enoch Davis
Funeral services for the late Enoch Davis,
90-year old Confederate veteran who died at his residence on E
street yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock after an illness
of only a few days, will be held from the Second Baptist
church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. C.D.
Garner, pastor will conduct the services, after which the body
will be laid to final rest in the Concord cemetery with the
Burney funeral home in ?. A native of Greenville county, Mr.
Davis had been a resident of Anderson for the past 32 years,
and was held in high esteem by many friends. He was
affiliated with the Baptist denomination. Surviving Mr.
Davis are four sons: Gus Davis, Glendale; Pritchard Davis,
Lockhart; Will Davis, Greenville, and Beaty Davis, Anderson.
After 10 o'clock this morning, the body will lie in state at
the family residence until the hour of the final
services.
