To all to whom these Presents shall come,
Greeting.
Know Ye, That for and in Consideration Of Twenty
five pounds Sterling Money paid by Robert Pickens into
the Treasury for the Use of this State, We have granted and by the
Presents do grant unto the said Robert Pickens, his Heirs and
Assigns, a Plantation or Tract of Land containing
Two hundred and fifty (250) Acres Situated in Ninety
Six District on a branch of Twenty three Mile Creek Waters of
Savannah River bounding So’ward on said branch the other sides on
Vacant Land
having such Shape, Form and Marks as are represented
by a Plat hereunto annexed, together with all Woods, Trees, Waters,
Water-courses, Profits, Commodities, Appurtenances and Hereditaments
whatsoever thereunto belonging, To have and to hold the said Tract
of Two hundred and fifty Acres of Land, and all and singular
other the Premisses hereby granted unto the said Robert Pickens
his Heirs and Assigns, for ever, in free and common soccage.
GIVEN under the Great Seal of the State. WITNESS his
Excellency Benjamin Guerard Esquire, Governor and Commander
in Chief in and over the said State, at Charleston, the
Fifteenth Day of October Anno Domini One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty four and in the Ninth Year of
the Independence of the United States of America.

KNOW YE, That for and in consideration of Four
pounds 1s/8d Sterling Money paid by Robert Pickens into
the Treasury for the use of the state, We have granted, and by these
Presents do grant unto the said Robert Pickens, his Heirs and
Assigns, a Plantation or Tract of Land containing Six hundred and
forty Acres Situate in the District of Ninety Six on Branch
of Twenty Three Mile Creek Waters of Savannah River
Having such Shape form and marks as are represented by
a plat hereunto annexed, with all Woods, Trees, Waters,
Water-courses, Profits, Commodities, Appurtenances and Hereditaments
whatsoever thereunto belonging, to Have and to Hold the said Tract
of Six hundred (640) and forty acres of land and all and
singular other the Premises hereby granted unto the said Robert
Pickens, his Heirs and Assigns, for ever, in free and common
soccage.

at Charleston, this fifth day of March Anno Domini One thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty Seven and in the Eleventh
