Thomas Harold Locke 
Beaufort - Thomas Harold Locke, 78, of Beaufort, husband of Sylvia Keller Locke, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in St. Helena"s Episcopal Church Cemetery.

Mr. Locke was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Elberton, Ga., a son of the late Thomas Galphin Locke and Opal Craft Locke. He was a long-time resident of Beaufort and a 1945 graduate of Beaufort High School. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service, including tours in Germany and Korea. He also retired from U.S. Civil Service at MCRD, Parris Island after 20 years of service. He was a member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort.  He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Evans Locke.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years of Beaufort; a grandson, Jason Thomas Locke, of Greenville; two brothers, James S. Locke, of Beaufort and Eugene T. Locke, of Dayton, Ohio; and a sister, Martha Locke Lubkin, of Beaufort.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort.

Caroline Brunson Luckey
BEAUFORT -- Caroline Brunson Luckey died Monday, August 20, 2007, in Beaufort.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23 at Copeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2007, at St. Helena's Episcopal Church, with interment in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

Mrs. Luckey was the daughter of Sara Pooser Brunson and William Wannamaker Brunson, Sr.  She is survived by her husband, Sherman C. Luckey; four children, Ann L. King, Heyward C. "Buddy" Luckey, Druscilla B. Bridges and Martha A. Luckey; two sisters, Lynn Brunson and Phyllis Martin; one brother, Bill Brunson; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
