Emily Jolly
Strohecker Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 30 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Helena's Episcopal Cemetery. Mrs. Strohecker was born December 6, 1916, in Anderson, SC, a daughter of the late George W. Jolly and Bernice Fant Jolly. She was a graduate of Anderson College and Winthrop University and was an elementary schoolteacher. She had been a resident of Beaufort since 1975 and was an active member in St. Helena's Episcopal Church. She was a loving wife, compassionate mother, gave generously to many charities and was admired by all who knew her. She is survived by a son, Henry O. Strohecker, III, and daughter-in-law, Sharon of Irmo, SC; a daughter, Ann S. Braswell and son-in-law, Jim, of Hickory, NC; sister-in-law, Clifton Thomas of Beaufort; grandchildren, Christopher J. and Ashley Braswell of Atlanta, Robert W. Braswell of Asheville, NC, Aimee D. Strohecker and Randy Crabb of Johns Island, SC, Dana S. and Jeff Raynor of Charlottesville, VA; a great-grandchild, Emily Grace Raynor and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The

in charge. (The State - December 29, 2005) HARDEEVILLE - Louise Padgett Smith, 66, a retired employee with the Savannah District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, died Tuesday in a Savannah hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Maye River Baptist Church in Pritchardville. Burial, directed by Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Okatie, a daughter of Charlie J. Padgett and Alma Benton Padgett. She was a member of Maye River Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred W. Smith; three sons, Douglas S. Butler, Kevin L. Butler and Neal A. Butler, all of Hardeeville; three stepsons, Harry Smith of Hardeeville, Michael Smith of Warner-Robbins, Ga., and Kevin Smith of Ridgeland; a daughter, Phyllis A. Butler of Hardeeville; three brothers, T. Joseph Padgett of Hendersonville and William M. Padgett and Gregory A. Padgett, both of Hardeeville; and seven grandchildren (Post and Courier, The (Charleston, SC) - May 11, 2000) BLUFFTON - Services for Thomas M. Simmons, 56, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Maye River Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Sauls Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Simmons died August 17, 2001. Born in Ridgeland, he was a son of Gladys Cooler Simmons and the late Jesse R. Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a member of Maye River Baptist Church. 2001 Mrs. Seigler died Wednesday. Born in Savannah, she was a daughter
of the late Eula Elizabeth and Samuel Dawson Hambrick.
Mr. Seigler was born in Abbeville, Ga., a son of Thomas J. Seigler and Daisy Sikes Seigler. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a retired conductor with Carolina Division of Seaboard Railroad. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of Parris Island Rod and Gun Club, Tarabera Hunting Club, the VFW and Port Royal Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Seigler of John's Island and Joseph D. Seigler of Wake Forest, N.C.; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Seigler of Hillsborough, N.C., and Nancy S. Priddy of Richmond, Va.; and four grandchildren.
