Thomas HARTSVILLE. S.C.-Terry Michael
Thomas, formerly of Aiken, died Thursday. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of
George Funeral Home in Aiken with the Rev. G. Danna Waters III
officiating. Burial will be in Aiken Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Bismark. N.D.. he lived most of his life in
Aiken. Survivors include his parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Donald H. Thomas. Aiken; paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs.
E.A. Thomas. Bismark. N.D.; two sisters. Mrs. Susan Thomas
Wright and Mrs. Julia Thomas Chambers, both of Aiken; and
three brothers. Daniel Thomas. Spartanburg. S.C. Jeffery
Thomas and Mark Thomas, both of Aiken. Pallbearers will
be Thomas Shideler, J.C. Lambert, Elric Pinckney. the Rev. B.
E. Petit. John E. Callan and Buster Melton. [The Augusta

W. J. Rogers Darlington, May 11 -
Mrs. W. J. Rogers died here last night after an illness of a
few days. Her mother was buried just one week from yesterday,
and after attending her funeral, Mrs. Rogers was taken sick
with pneumonia. She was all through life a consistent member
of the Methodist church, and the funeral services will be held
tomorrow morning at the residence about two miles from town at
11 o'clock. Mrs. Rogers was before her marriage Miss Muldrow,
a member of a very large family in this county. Forty years
ago she married W. J. Rogers, one of the most progressive
farmers of this section, and to them were born the following
children, who, with their father, survive; Mrs. Miller of
Bennettsville, Mrs. Hall of Miami, Fla.; Charles W. Rogers of
Live Oak, Fla.; Miss bessie Rogers and Aubrey Rogers of
Darlington. Mrs. Rogers was a woman of lovely character and
disposition, and though for several yars she has not been
strong, no one suspected ill health from association with her.

Howie Darlington, April 16 - E. S. Howie one of
Darlington's leading merchants, died here Thursday night after
a short illness. He was steward of the First Baptist church
and one of the town's most useful and influential citizens.
Interment took place Friday afternoon at Grove Hill cemetery,
the services being conducted by his pastor, the Rev. H. L.
Weeks, assisted by the Rev. M. D. Milton of the Presbyterian
church. Mrs. Howie and one son survive. (The State - April 17,

Lizzie Plume Wicks May 19th, in
Clarkesville, Georgia, Mrs. Lizzie Plume, consort of Dr. Wm.
M. Wicks, and daughter of the late Daniel S. and Charlotte
S.C. Wilson, of Savannah, Ga. She was born in Darlington,

Rogers Garden Darlington, Nov. 13 - Mrs. Neva
Rogers Garden, daughter of Winston J. Rogers, died here this
afternoon abuot 2 o'clock. Mrs. Garden has been ill for a long
time, and this summer was spent in the mountains of North
Carolina in search for health. At the close of the summer
season she came to her father's home about two miles from
Darlington, and has been there until her death this afternoon.
Mrs. Garden's home is in Florida, and she is survived by her
husband and one child.

DARLINGTON. April 15 -William T. Lewis. 57 year old Darlington
man died this afternoon at the McLeod Infirmary in Florence.
He had been in declining health for a period of several
months. He formerly, held a position with the Darlington
Roller mills. Mr. Lewis was a member of the First Baptist,
church. He is survived by one son. William F. Lewis, of
Darlington. one grandson, Caleb F. Lewis, two sisters and one
brother. Mrs. J. E. Flowers and Mrs. Henry Moody of Darlington
and Lawrence. Lewis of Columbia. Funeral services will be held
on Sunday afternoon at. 2:00 o'clock at the Kisller funeral
home. Interment will be in Grove Hill cemetery. [APRIL 16,
