The stone next to Mary's has been completely destroyed, except for the base of the stone. In fact, all Confederate stones in this cemetery have been desecrated or destroyed. Destroying history will not change it...This is what SHOULD be there (taken from a transcription done before the stone was destroyed and from various source materials): |
