on April 15, 1845 at Pickens, in the county of Pickens
District in the state of South Carolina; first entered
the service as private on May 10, 1863 at Clarksville,
Ga. in the Company D 11th Ga. Calvary and continued
until paroled at surrender in April 1865 – served in
Home Guard in Franklin, White and Habersham
counties Georgia Full Name: WILLIAMS, JAMES
PERRY – Present post office address: Dora,
Ala. Was born on April 22, 1830 in the county of
Pickens District in the state of South Carolina’ first
entered the service as private on Sept 1862 at Jasper,
Ala., in the Company F (E. J. Rice) Hewlett’s Battalion
56th Ala. Calvary and continued until surrendered and
paroled at Saulsbury, N. C. about first of May
