Be it remembered that I Isaac Bogan of the Union District ]

District & State aforesaid, being weak in body but of perfect mind and disposing Memory ,Glory & Praise to God for the same and calling to mind the shortness and uncertainty of human life , Have thought fit to make and publish this my last will and testament in the Manner following ( that is to say)

When it shall please the Lord to call me from this transitory world I recommend my soul to the mercy of God who gave it and my body to the earth .

To be decently buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named and touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased the Lord in his infinite Mercy to bless me with, I have thought proper to dispose of in the following manner, [ VIZ] My Will and desire is all my just debts and funeral charges shall be first satisfied and be paid out of my personal estate and the remainder of my estate both real and personal. I do dispose of it as follows [viz]

I give to my loving wife Easter the house wherein I now dwell during her natural life together with all the utensils or husbandry , Also fifty Acres of cultivated land , I also lend unto my loving wife two negroes namely my negro Harry & my negros wench Bell together with four cows & calves . Also ten head of hogs also one work horse one bed & furniture- I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Giles Sumner one negro girl called Mary & and in case the said Giles Sumner die without heir the negroe girl called Mary to be sold and equally divided among my children -I lend to my daughter Hannah Jones one negroe girl named Phillis during her natural life & after her decease to the heirs of her body forever- I give &bequeath unto my daughter Easter one negro girl named Dice also two cows and calves & twenty dollars in cash and a horse valued at twenty dollars also one Saddle and Bridle one feather bed and furniture -I give & bequeath unto my son James Bogan one mare & two Colts , also one negro boy named Ned I give bequeath unto my son Michael Bogan , Two Hundred acres of land more or less situated and lying on Dutchman Creek.

I give &bequeath unto my son’s Charles & Caswell Bogan the first tract of land whereon I now live containing five hundred Acres more or less - I give & bequeath unto my son Isaac Bogan one negro boy named Lewis -I give &bequeath to my son William Bogan two hundred & twenty five acres of land lying & being on Shoaly Creek being a part of four hundred and fifty acre tract whereon my father John Bogan now lives & my will & desire is that my son William Bogan should have that part of the land that lies on the east side of the said creek--I also give and bequeath unto my son William Bogan one bay horse now by the name of his Property ; I give & bequeath unto my son John Bogan two Hundred and Twenty five Acres more or less situate on the west side of the above mentiond Shoaly Creek ,also I give & bequeath my son John Bogan one bay mare now by the name of his property , My will and desire is that all the property that has not been given in Legacies untill such time as the youngest children comes of age ,then to be equally divided among my six sons , William Bogan ,Caswell Bogan ,Charles Bogan ; and last of all I do hereby constitute -nominate and appoint my loving wife Easter Bogan Executrix & Thomas White my Executor to see this my last Will & Testament Executed and hereby revoking &making void & of none affect all other former wills and testaments by me hereto fore made & declaring that this sheet of paper contains my last Will & testament , I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 12th day of April 1805 signed sealed published & pronounced & declared by the said Isaac Bogan

Will of Thomas Hyatt

State of South Carolina Dec 28 ,1842
Union District

In the name of God Amen

I Thomas Hyatt of said State and District being in a low state of health but thanks be to God in perfect mind and memory thus thought proper to arrange my temporal concerns in the following manner and form.

1st I desire that all just debts that I may have unpaid to be honorably paid by my executors.

2nd I give unto my seven oldest Children Nancy Gallman, Milley Ward, Elizabeth Belew, Jesse Hyatt, Sarah Ann Jackson, James Hyatt, and William Hyatt one dollar each.

3rd I give unto my Mary Ann. Amanda. One Cow and one bed Furniture and a Saddle.

4th I give unto My beloved wife all the rest of my estate both real and personal during her life after her giving to my Youngest daughters Harriet and Caroline to each of them one Cow and bed and furniture and Saddle when they become of age or marry and after the death of my wife . All the property that she may have to be equally divided between my four youngest daughters Mary Ann, Amanda ,Harriet and Caroline,

I do by virtue of these presents hereby nominate constitute and appoint my dear wife and son Jesse Hyatt my true and lawfull executors to execute this my Last Will and testament thereby revolking all former wills by me made in witness where of the said Thomas Hyatt doth here unto set his hand and affix his seal this twenty eight of Dec, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hunderd and forty two,

signed sealed and Acknowledged by the Said Thomas Hyatt to be his last will and testament in the presents of us who is in the presents of each other have subscribed our names,

Will of Thomas Mayes

In the name of God Amen
I Thomas Mayes of the

State of South Carolina and the District of Spartanburg . Being in a very weak state of body but of perfect sound mind and memory and calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die-Ido make and ordain this to be my last will and testament. That is to say-principally and first of all-

It is my sincere desire to resign and commit my soul to God. And my body to be buried in a decent Christian manner at the discrection of my friends- And as touching such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bestow on me, amongst his other blessings.

I give and dispose of it in the following manner-

Ist it is my will that all my just debts be paid out of my Estate .

2ndly It is my will and I do give and bequeath to my beloved Father and Mother James Mayes and Jean Mayes and My beloved sister Jean Mayes my negro man named Toby untill the decease of the last of them- And then and at that time ,said negro man Toby to be divided equally between my Brothers Matthew Mayes &Edward Mayes

3rdly-it is my will that whatever claim of stock I have, that the same fall back into my fathers estate to be disposed of as he may think proper in his last will and testament.

4thly- It is my will that the residue of my property be equally divided among my brothers & sisters only, who have not had a share in the above named negro man. And I do hereby declare this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this Nineteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen Signed & acknowledge in presence of
