The city council of Britton declared a ban on gambling devices of all kinds and accordingly the police department has ordered that all dice games and similar forms of gambling be stopped in local business houses.

01 Apr 1909A marriage license was issued to Carl Hanseth and Alette Weeberg, both of Aberdeen. Also one to Arthur Corlis and Mrs. Maude Hill, both of Briton. The latter couple were married by Judge McNaghten.

Aberdeen Daily NewsFrank Heinrich of Veblen, who has been employed as industrial teacher at Good Will mission since 1879, has left for his old home in Germany, where he expects to remain permanently.
Fire at Veblen destroyed the garage and automobile of Frank Romberg. The automobile had recently been purchased for $2,000 and both it and the building were uninsured. Romberg recently purchased the automobile and had entered the livery business with it.
