Boyden - Sinnings
(Transcribed by RB from the Mellette County Pioneer July 20, 1917)

Mr. Cody Sinnings and Miss Alice Boyden were quietly married at the home of Ed Boyden in Milwaukee, Wis., June 16, 1917. The ceremony was performed by a brother of the groom. Rev. Henry Sinnings pastor of the German Presbyterian church at Grundy Center, Iowa. The bridesmaid and best man were Blanche and Charles Boyden sister and brother of the bride. The bride was a successful school teacher of Green Bay, Wis. It was a very simple but very beautiful wedding there being but the two families present. Mr.and Mrs. Sinnings spent two weeks in traveling and visiting as preliminary to their honeymoon, which we hope will last all their lives, and are at home to their friends on the homestead of Mr. Sinning at Cody. They were cheered by the music of bells, cornets etc., and the Monday night following their return, by a part of their friends. These guests were royally entertained later with candy, lemonade and cookies. We join with all the Cody people in wishing them long life and an abundance of happiness in their journey through life.
