FUNERAL SERVICE FOR O. C. ADAMS TODAY
O. C. Adams, 78, pioneer hardware dealer in Sutherland, died Wednesday morning at St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City after an illness of short duration. He took sick Sunday with gall bladder trouble and was operated on Tuesday morning. He was improving satisfactorily until midnight when he began to fail rapidly.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City. The body will be taken to Lemmon, S. Dak., for burial beside his wife.
Mr. Adams came to this community from Illinois in the early '80s and was in the hardware business. He also had land interests here. In 1909 the family moved to Lemmon, S. Dak., where he lived until 1929.
A son, Arthur Adams of Sutherland, a daughter Ruth of Highvale, Alberta, Canada, and a son Elmer of Reno, Nev., survive the deceased.
The last few years he had made his home in Sioux City with his sister, Mrs. Clara Younger.
