Bedford has another sensational on Thursday last Sam Jennings went to the home of Jack Blackwell and shot him dead. We do not go into details for the reason that we would do no one injustice. As we understand, the killing was the result of an outrage said to be committed by Blackwell upon the person of Mrs Jennings. At this writing Jennings had not been arrested." Sam Jennings who killed Jack Blackwell in this county some months ago and was convicted and sentenced for ten years, was pardoned by Governor Buchanan on Thursday last.
