FRED A. JAMES , of Murfreesboro, brother of Quixie Moses of Shelbyville died Tuesday at his home following an extended illness. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at North Boulevard Church of Christ with Marion West officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery. Mr. James, 77, was a Rutherford County native, son of the late Arthur and Lizzie Mae Wooten James. He was a retired truck driver for International Paper and was a member of the Middle Tennessee Trail Riders Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Science Hill Church of Christ. Additional survivors are his wife, Sue Jones James; two sons, Steve and David James of Murfreesboro; a brother Carl James of Murfreesboro; three other sisters, Dot Insell of Woodbury, Yvonne Carter and Patsy Ann Brown of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and on great-granddaughter. Visitation with the family will begin at 4 p.m. today. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

ANNIE CLYDE (BRITTON) JONES , age 69, of Shelbyville, died Friday, December 26, 2008, at Heritage Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Galilee Primitive Baptist Church. Reverend Robert Stevenson will be eulogist, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Feldhaus Memorial chapel and again one hour prior to service Tuesday at the church. She was born July 1, 1939, in Bedford County, to the late B.W. and Lucille Anderson Britton. She was retired from Tyson Food and was a member of Galilee Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wilbert Jones, of Shelbyville; a daughter, Polly Rankins, of Shelbyville; a sister, Renaecker (Horace) Arnold, of Manchester; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

CLERA (PINKSTON) JONES , 100, of Bell Buckle died Sunday at Christian Care Center in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Jason Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Ms. Clera Pinkston Jones, age 100 of Bell Buckle passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Christian Care Center in Shelbyville. She is a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Henry Issac Pinkston and Betty Adcock Pinkston. Ms.Jones was a homemaker and a member of Bell Buckle Baptist Church. She was married to Clarence Henry Pinkston who preceded her in death in 1995. Ms. Jones is survived by one son: James (Jimmy) Jones and his wife Lynn of Bell Buckle. She is survived by one brother: Austin Pinkston of Shelbyville and one sister: Dorene Hollingsworth of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Chad Jones and his wife Melissa and Andy Jones both of Bell Buckle, and two great grandchildren: Lindsey and Colten Baxter also of Bell Buckle. Along with her parents and her husband, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Gowen-Smith with Jason Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.

IMOGENE (SNODDY) JORDAN , age 84, of Shelbyville, entered into rest, Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Heritage Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, January 30, 2009, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Stephen Cain will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, and again one hour prior to service Friday, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. She was born May 22, 1924, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Andrew Jackson Snoddy and Gladys Price Snoddy. She was retired from United (Atmos) Gas as office manager, after twenty five years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and great mom. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Snoddy and sister in law, Phyllis Snoddy. She is survived by three daughters, Janice J. Cole, Jennifer Jordan, and Deborah J. (Ron) Obenchain, Sr., all of Shelbyville; three sons, Leland Jordan, of Chattanooga, Dr. John (Dr. Heather) Jordan, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jimmy (Mary Kaye) Jordan, of Shelbyville; a brother, Jack (Carol Lee) Snoddy, of Shelbyville, and a sister, Martha Jane (Bud) Renegar, of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren, Dan Langford, David (Chastity) Langford, Ryan (Cara) Cole, Elizabeth Cole, Jennie (Charles) Haskins, Jackson Jordan, Kelsey Jordan, Lewis Obenchain, and Sam Obenchain; seven great grandchildren, Shelley Langford, Sydney Langford, David Langford, Kennedy Cole, Maddie Cole, Anna Grace Haskins, and Charles David Haskins. JOE JORDAN JR. , 82, of Shelbyville died Friday, December 15, 2006, at Bedford County Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1924, in Rutherford County, to the late Joe and Alice Jordan Sr. He was a farmer and worked with Durango Boot in Chapel Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Johnson. He is survived by daughters Bernice Hampton of Shelbyville, Barbara Jordan of Unionville and Sarah Burns of Nashville; sons Walter and Jerry Jordan, both of Unionville; sisters Maggie Frazier, Josephine Greer and Facie L.
