MRS. E.W. WADDY
- Funeral services for Mrs. E. W. Waddy, 77 who died Monday at 1 A.M., were held Tuesday morning at 10:30, at the Hoover Funeral Home, Rev. J. W. Roberts officiating Burial was in Palmetto Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts was a devoted member of the Methodist church, and was loved by a large circle of friends and relatives. She resided with her daughter, Mrs. Sam Moore and Mr. Moore. Other surviving are another daughter, and a son Jack Waddy.

MARY (MAE) K. WADE
- age 89, of Chicago, formerly of Christiana, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Boulevard Terrace Rehab and Nursing Center in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday, November, 29, 2008, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Frederick Wade will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 AM Saturday until service time. She was born November 7, 1919, in Christiana, Tennessee, to the late Miller and Jennie Ann Wade. She lived and worker in Chicago, Illinois, for 65 years before failing health forced to return to Middle Tennessee, to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Wade, John Wade, and Melvin Wade. She is survived by a brother, Fred Wade, and his wife, Mary, of Christian, Tennessee; a devoted niece, Vanessa Nelson, of Christiana; devoted friend, Dorothy Daniels, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and other relatives. CHARLES WARREN JR.
, age 79, passed away on December 27, 2008, at the Bedford County Nursing Home in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie Warren, Sr. and Mattie Lee Trice Warren, and children's mother, Maude Warren Hall; two sons, Morse Edward and Curtis Ray Warren.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Jesse of Asheville, NC, Robert (Delphine) of Shelbyville, TN, Terry of Tullahoma, TN, and Lee Warren of LaVergne, TN; four daughters, Carolyn (Walter) Buckingham, Delbra Stewart, Tonya (Keith) Chunn and Charlene Warren, all of Shelbyville, TN; sister, Francis Arnold of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Robert Cecil (Almeda) Warren of Sidney, OH; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2009, with visitation at 1 p.m., and funeral to follow at the Bird Street Church of Christ in Shelbyville, TN.
The family was assisted with arrangements and services by Nelson & Sons Memorial Chapel, Shelbyville Tennessee.
CHARLES A. WARREN
, age 89 passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
He is a native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and the son of the late Peter Daniel Warren and Ida Warren. Mr. Warren retired from Musgrave Factory in Shelbyville after approximately fifty years of service.
He is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Alice Elizabeth Warren. Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Janet King of Shelbyville, Daniel and his wife Nikki Warren of Shelbyville and Leslie and his wife Natalie of Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
He is also survived by one sister: Jean Holcomb of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three children: Jerry Edward Warren in 2008, Charles Milton Warren in 1972 and Vivian Warren in 1950. He was also preceded in death by five brothers: Walter Warren, Goodrich Warren, Dee Warren, Horace Warren and Frank Warren. and one sister: Lucille Kelly.
DOROTHY MARIE WARREN
, age 82 passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Glen Oaks Convalescent Center in Shelbyville. She is a native of Bedford County and the daughter of the late Leonard Cook and Lillie Stalling Cook. Ms. Warren retired from Fly's Manufacturing in Shelbyville and was married to Clarence "Dewey" Warren who preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by one daughter: Shirley Scott of Shelbyville and two sisters: JoAnne Epperson and Erma Rollins both of Shelbyville. Ms. Warren is also survived by three grandchildren: Donna Taylor, Bobby Cunningham and Stephanie Upchurch all of Shelbyville, and six great grandchildren: Trey Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Chase Cunningham, Thomas Upchurch, Kyle Cunningham and Trenton Upchurch all of Shelbyville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gowen-Smith. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Gowen-Smith. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery
VIOLA WARREN
- age 91, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at home after an extended illness. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Charles Williams and Reverend Tim McGehee will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. She was born May 5, 1917, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Johnny and Ethel Majors Spray. She was a homemaker and member of Gateway Church of God. She loved to play rook and was a loving grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon S. Warren, in 1984. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Ethel Jeanette Kelley, Margaret Faye Greb, and Barbara Linda Cook. A brother and sister, William “Buck” Spray and Nell Majors, also preceded her in death, as well as three grandchildren, Teresa Warren, Phillip Hut, and Viola Ann Greb.
She is survived by two sons, Gordon (Lana) Warren, of Shelbyville, and Danny (Gail) Warren, of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Joyce Ann (Charles) Gibbs, of Shelbyville, and Nancy (James) Eads, of Tullahoma; nineteen grandchildren, Susan Pasion, Patty Hut, David Hut, Mark Greb, Randy Greb, Susan Sutton, Starr Messick, Michael Messick, Carol Anne Webb, Robin Warren, Chad Sons, Richie Sons, Scott Sons, Jessica Eads, April Warren, Danny Warren, Jr., Billy Warren, Jerry Bain, and Randy Bain; twenty six great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
MACK G. WATSON
- Funeral services for Mack G. Watson, 91, Civil war veteran who served in Forrest's cavalry were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his niece, Mrs. Birdie Pearcy, in the Nashville, conducted by the Rev. A.S. Allen. Mr. Watson died Wednesday morning at the home of his niece following a heart attack. Mr. Watson was born in Shelbyville in 1840. At the outbreak of the Civil war he and his brother joined with Nathan Bedford Forrest when he formed his famous cavalry. Mr. Watson rode as escort to General Forrest, and his brother, William Watson, who died in 1893, served as bugler for the troop. After the war, Mr. Watson moved to Nashville. He was employed by the old Prewitt-Spurr Furniture Manufacturing company in East Nashville. He never married. He is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Mrs. Thomas Shute, Mrs. Birdie Pearcy and H. H. Watson, all of Nashville; Mrs. W. L. Haynes and Charles and Wiley Chockley of Shelbyville, and Clarence Watson of Houston, Texas. Burial was at Mt. Olivet cemetery. (cemetery is in Nashville)
MARTHA ANN (SUDBERRY) WHEELHOUSE
, 89, died Thursday at her home near Center Grove. She had been in declining health for some time. Mrs. Wheelhouse was a member of the Blankenship Methodist Church, a consecrated Christian, true friend, loving and dutiful mother. Funeral services were held at the home Friday, 2 p.m. Rev C.F. Belew officiating. Burial was in the Blankenship cemetery. Survivors are two daughters, Misses Cassie and Ida Wheelhouse, one sister, Mrs. Tennie Wallace, Waco Texas.
MARGARET DRYDEN WHITE
died at her home in Blue Stocking Hollow, 20th District of this county, Saturday last, aged about 85
years. She was one of the oldest residents in that part of the county, the widow of Thomas White, who died some fifteen years ago, and a sister of
Mr. N. L. Dryden, deceased, and a member of the large Dryden family who were early settlers of Blue Stocking Hollow
that took its name from the name Blue Stocking, applied to the Presbyterian of that early day. She and her husband
were long members of Moore's Chapel Methodist Church. After her husband died she lived in the same house with her
son, Mr. Walter White and family until death. Mrs. Oliver Armstrong of Shelbyville is a daughter of Mrs. White.
Buried in the Moore's Chapel Cemetery.
EFFIE MAE WILKERSON
- Funeral services of Effie Mae Wilkerson, 66 of Sewanee, who died Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Shaw Temple Church of God in Tullahoma. Superintendent George Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in University Cemetery in Sewanee. Survivors include four sons, Sammy Wilkerson of Sewanee, Kenneth Lee Wilkerson of Decherd, James Robert Wilkerson of Tullahoma, and Gary Jerome Wilkerson of Sewanee; four sisters, Margaret White of Tullahoma, Juanita Anthony of Tullahoma, Mildred Thompson of Shelbyville and Josephine Williams of Detroit, Mich: four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be noon Sunday until service time at the church. J. A. Welton & Son Funeral Home, Tullahoma, is in charge of arrangements.
MARGARET H. (CATES) WILKERSON
, age 80, passed from this life Thursday December 11, 2008 at her home in Shelbyville, on the same hill she was born on near Cates Street, which was named for her ancestors. Margaret was baptized a member of the Eastview Baptist Church years ago along with her late husband, James Ray Wilkerson, who preceeded her in passing from this life in 2002. Betty Theresa Wilkerson, a daughter, preceded her in death in 1981. She and Ray both had retired from Empire Pencil Company. Margaret was a thirty year charter member of the Women at Moose.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday December 15, 2008, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Dr. Steve Lynn will officiate, with burial in Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Sunday.
Margaret was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel “Bo” Cates and the former Nora Loretta McGregor. She was a granddaughter of the late Finis Milton Cates and the former Belle Patterson of Shelbyville; and the late Phillip McGregor and the former Donnie Belle Moulder of McMinnville.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter. They are: James Michael (Janice) Wilkerson of Palm Bay, Florida; Judy Renee (Dr. Steve) Lynn of Tullahoma; and David Leslie (Brenda) Wilkerson of Shelbyville. Margaret also had seven grandchildren, six grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

- Funeral services for James Ray Wilkerson, 75 of Shelbyville, who died Wednesday at his home after an extended illness, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Funeral Home. The Rev Randall Harmon and Steve Lynn will officiate and burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. A native of Stevenson, Ala., he was the husband of Jennifer Lyles Wilkerson of Shelbyville, who survives, and the son of the late Joseph Wheeler and Willie Mae Hoosier Wilkerson. He was a retired employee of Empire Pencil Co. (now Sanford Corp.); a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He attended Eastview Baptist Chruch.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Mike Wilkerson of Christmas, Fla., and David Wilkerson of Birmingham, Ala; a daughter Judy Lynn of Tullahoma; two stepdaughters, Christine Diaz of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Stephanie Bingham of Nashville; a sister Jewell Privett of Stevenson Ala; a brother, Glen Wilkerson of Stevenson, Ala; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
IKE WILLIAMS
, 86 died Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ott Gilliland at New Hermon. Mr. Williams had been an invalid for several years. He was a highly respected citizen of the New Hermon community. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Hermon Church, Rev. Ralph Snell conducting. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Gilliland, three grand daughters, Miss Frances Gilliland and Mrs. Bill Kingree of New Hermon and Mrs. Walter Haynes of Shelbyville.

- Funeral services for James Edward 'Jimmy' Williams Jr., 35, of Murfreesboro, who died Wednesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro with Rodney Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle.

, age 38, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, march 18, 2009, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Michael Shannon will officiate, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. He was born March 29, 1970, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to Jerry W. Williams, of Shelbyville, and the late Judy Cook Williams who passed away March 6, 2009. He was employed with Tyson Foods and worked previously with AutoZone.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his companion, Melissa Rutherford, of Shelbyville; two sisters, Amanda K. WINFORD O. WILLIAMS
, age 78, of Shelbyville, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Heritage Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Arnold King will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
He was born February, 27, 1931, in Cullman, AL, to the late Aron and Nora Lee Herrin Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany and Panama. He was the owner/ operator of Mid-State Vending, and a retired sheriff’s deputy. He held membership in Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Foster Williams, Inez Giles, and Thomas Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edna Kyle Williams, of Shelbyville; a son, Windell Williams, and his wife Gazella, of Shelbyville; three daughters, Patricia Brown, and her husband Mike, of Shelbyville, Darlene Allen, and her husband Jackie, of Cape Coral, Florida, Regina Erickson, and her husband Bill, of Ft. Myers Florida; eight grandchildren, Jim-Alex Brown, Jason Williams, Erin Williams, John Brown, Nate Allen, Wesley Erickson, Jalen Erickson, Jorden Erickson, and Kelsey Allen; one great grandchild, Kaleigh Houk; three sisters, Christine Neff, of Shelbyville, and Margaret Curlee, of Atlanta, GA., and Jeanette Harbin; two brothers, Dotson Williams, of Alabama, and J.L. W.I. WINN
, 77, died Tuesday morning at his home here of a paralytic stroke, suffered two days earlier. He had been in declining health several years. Besides serving as a city policeman, he had also been a deputy sheriff of Bedford County and a constable of the Seventh District. After he retired from public service he spent much of his time constructing hand made doll furniture, some of it copied from authentic antiques and much of it hand carved. Winn was born and educated in Bedford County and spent almost his entire life here. He was the son of J.W. Winn and Isabella Martin Winn. Pending the arrival from New York of Members of his family, the funeral arrangements are not complete as this newspaper goes to press. Rev. N. Burch Tucker will officiate at the Hoover Funeral Home and active pallbearers will be Matthew Shearin, Levoy Mullins, R.A. Taylor, Ed Nance, Fred Nance and Guy Hoover; honorary pall bearers will be Ed Maupin, H.B. Cowan, Dr. T.R. Ray, Eugene Hix, C.P. Adams, H.H. Jones, and Will R. Haynes. Burial will be in Willow Mount Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, six sons, John B. Winn, Beechfort N.Y. Horace, Syracuse, N.Y., Robert, Dallas, Texas, Homer, Chattanooga, Elgin, Shelbyville and Ollie, unknown. He has three sisters surviving, Mrs. Isadore Primrose in California; Mrs. Fannie Ezell, Chapel Hill, and Mrs. Mary Maupin, Rover.

WILLIAM W. WILLIAMS
, a well known and highly respected farmer, died at his home near Bell Buckle last Tuesday. He had been in Poor health for some time and was carried to Vanderbilt hospital, where he remained for a while. Mr. Williams was 51 years of age, and a man of sterling principles. He was a devoted member of the Christian church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Clyde Gleaves last Thursday. Interment was in the Bell Buckle cemetery. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Reed Rucker of Nashville' Mrs. Curtis Cook of Nashville; Mrs. William Thurston of Murfreesboro; Alfred Anderson, Mable, Ruth, and Virginia Williams.
MARY ISABELLE (ROSS) WOODRUFF
, a 52-year resident of Shelbyville, died peacefully at the Heritage Medical Center on Sunday morning, November 23, 2008. Mary Isabelle Ross was born on December 13, 1916 in Hampshire, Maury County, Tennessee, the youngest child of Carl Anderson Ross and Inez Bourland Ross. Her father was a long-time banker in Maury County, first in Hampshire and later in Columbia, where he moved his young family and established himself as a community leader over many years. She attended public schools in Columbia and graduated from high school there in 1935. Later that year she married Charles Marsh Woodruff, and they began their 64-year adventure together that included Charlie’s professional positions in Columbia and Mount Pleasant, Clarkdale, AZ, Chattanooga, Nashville, Lewisburg, and since 1956, Shelbyville. Her adult life was characterized by her love of her family, and her commitment to her community.
She was a pillar of the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, were she served as a member of the Board of Trustees, the Pastor Parish Committee, Circle IV, United Methodist Women, and Church Women United. She also was a Woman’s Club member and former president, and a member of the Isaac Shelby Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution. She worked as an enumerator for the US Census in 1950, 1960, and 1970. Isabelle was an avid reader, a member of the Library Book Club, an adventurous traveler, and a staunch Democrat.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Dr. William Hamilton Woodruff and his wife Nancy Alice David of Santa Fe, NM; Dr. Charles Marsh Woodruff, Jr. and his wife Patricia Margaret Speier of Austin, TX; and Isabelle Lynn Woodruff Hulan and her husband Henry Hulan III of Shelbyville. Five grandchildren include: Hank Hulan and his wife Leesa Hinson of Nashville; Carl Hulan and his wife Liat Meller, of Salt Lake City, UT; Will Woodruff of Santa Fe, NM; Harper Hulan and his wife Nancy Franklin Hulan of Louisville, KY; and Katy Woodruff Hannon and her husband Aaron Hannon of Santa Fe, NM; her two great-grandchildren include Anna Hinson Hulan and Horton Wiley Hannon. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James Bourland Ross, and Louise Ross Webster, her husband, Charles, and a son, James Ross Woodruff.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 25th. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26th at First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Henry Hulan III, Hank Hulan, Carl Hulan, Harper Hulan, James Roy Lambert, and Fred Shofner. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church’s Memorial Fund, or to the Argie Cooper Public Library in Shelbyville.
JESSE GLEAVES WOODWARD
- Funeral services for Jessee Gleaves Woodward, 88, of Palmetto, who died Wednesday at Bedford County General Hospital, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at London Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery.
A Bedford County native, he was the husband of Louise Lehman Woodward and the son of the late George Robert and Rebecca Palmer Woodward. He was a farmer and a member of Farmington Church of Christ.
Survivors in addition to his wife includes a son, James Hubert Woodward of Palmetto; three daughters, Mary W. Horton and Dorothy W. Looney, both of Palmetto, and Ann W. Winnette of Murfreesboro; a sister, Rebecca Ellen Herron of Antioch; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.
WALTER WOOSLEY
- Union City, TN., Feb 10 - Walter Woosley, aged 63, mayor of Union City, died last night at his home in this city of pneumonia complicated by heart trouble. He was born in Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee, and came to this city as a young boy. He was engaged in the grocery business for many years and later in the insurance business. He served 16 years as city recorder. In January he was re-elected to succeed himself as mayor after filling the office for a two-year term. He was a member of the Methodist Church and is survived by his widow, one brother, Sam Woosley, of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Little, of this city, and Mrs. Felix Ramer, of Texas. Funeral services held at the Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in charge of the Mason. There was an escort from the local military organization. All business houses were closed during the funeral hour.
WILLIAM JOSEPH WOOSLEY
- William Joseph Mosley, 82, native of Shelbyville, died Saturday following an illness of several months, at the home of his daughter Mrs. T. Neal in Nashville. For forty-nine years Mr. Mosley had been chief engineer of the Maxwell House Hotel. He was a member of the National Association of Power Engineers, a retired Mason and a member of the Tulip Street Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the home Monday, Rev. John R Stewart officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are two sons, Charles and George; one daughter, Mrs. T.W. Neal; a sister, Mrs. Mary Corcoran of Memphis, and thirteen grandchildren.
J. J. WORFORD
- The friends of Mrs. Bailey Evans, of Fort Worth Texas, will be sorry to learn of the death of her father, Mrs J. J. Morford, of McMinnville, who passed away at his home, Monday at noon. Mr and Mrs Evans reached McMinnville Monday night. The funeral services were today, Wednesday, at 4:30 o'clock, at the residence, conducted by Rev. L. T. Lawrence, pastor of the Lane street Presbyterian church. The burial was in the Riverside cemetery. Mr. Morford was one of McMinnville's leading citizens. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mrs. B. P. Evans, a sister, Mrs. David B. Carson and a brother, Charles Moford.
JAMES D. WRIGHT
, 76, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.
The highway construction industry lost an icon with his passing. He, along with his wife, Anne, and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Wright, founded Wright Brothers Construction Co., 47 years ago. A son of the late Garland and Mary Wright, formerly of Fairfield, he was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Wright of Athens; one daughter, Teresa Horne of Cleveland and her husband, Ron Horne, of Ridge Spring, S.C.; one granddaughter, Jenna Doran and her husband, Jonathen, of Fairfield; one sister, Mary Ann Price and her husband, Tom, of Lynchburg; one brother, Robert Wright and his wife, Barbara, of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield Church of Christ, with graveside services to follow at Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle. A celebration of his life will be held at noon Saturday at the office of Wright Brothers Construction Co., in Charleston.

JOSEPHINE (HARRIS) WRIGHT
, age 79, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Heritage Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Dr. Lloyd Doyle and Reverend Bobby McGee will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery
She was born September 8, 1929, in Bedford County, to the late Claude and Bernice Phillips Harris. She was retired from Arnold Engineering Development Center and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kittyjo Landers, in 1980, and five sisters, Aliene Stacey, Dorothy Sierman, Clara Carter, Jane Harris, and Faye DeLoach.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Herman Wright, of Shelbyville; a son, Dwight, and his wife Tricia, Landers, of Shelbyville; step-daughter, Patsy Taylor, of Shelbyville; two sisters, Mary Ann Cerami, of Port Arthur, Texas, and Claudia Mangelsdorf, of Franklin, Tennessee; a grandson, Emmett Dwight Landers, II, and a step granddaughter, Carrie Brooke Simmons.

MARY RUTH WRIGHT
, age 71, of Shelbyville, died Monday, November 10, 2008, at Heritage Medical Center. A private graveside service will take place in Head Springs Cemetery in Belfast.
She was born March 3, 1937, in Moore County, to the late Forster and Elizabeth Todd Crowell. She was a retired nurse’s assistant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wright, in 2000. She is survived by a step-son, Mitchell Wright of Wartrace; three step daughters, Connie Prince and Gracie Helton, both of Shelbyville, and Peggy Glascoe, of Tullahoma; a sister, Clara Howard, of Fayetteville. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
PHILLIP RAY WRIGHT
, age 58, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, May 02, 2009, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, with Tim Calloway officiating. Burial, with full military honors will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
He was born October 28, 1950, in Bedford County, to the late Raymond and Sarah Casteel Wright. He was an auto mechanic, veteran of the United States Army, and member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Wright in 2006, and a brother, Richard Perry. He is survived by five sisters, Willa Dean Wright, and her husband Charl D., of Shelbyville, Hope Gipson, and her husband David, of Canton, Georgia, Susan Leftwich, of Easley, South Carolina, Valerie Buck, of Shelbyville, and Ginger Brissey, and her husband Joe, of Gainesville, South Carolina; a brother, Howard Perry, and his wife Debra, of Gainesville, South Carolina; a son, Phillip Ray Wright, Jr., of Shelbyville; two daughters, Amy Sue Teague, and her husband Brian, of Greensville, South Carolina, and Tracy Lyday, of Shelbyville; nieces and nephews, Connie Beech, and her husband Joey, Charles Wright and Steven Wright; nine grandchildren, Heather Lee Ann Lyday, Samantha Mae Marie Lyday, Casey Lynn Lyday, Timmy Lee Taylor, Jr., Ashley Ann Wright, Katie Lee Wright, Brittany Nicole Teague, Brian B. Teague, and Phillip Ray Wight, III.
