HILLERY WESTON ROBBINS - 78, of Big Sandy, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2002, at Oakdale Chapel in Camden, TN. Burial will follow in Crooked Creek Cemetery in Big Sandy, TN. Mr. Robbins, a retired Methodist Preacher, died Monday, June 3, 2002, at his home of heart failure. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Wheatley-Berry Robbins; two daughters, Ruth Ann Rock and Karen Robbins Neely; one son, Gary David Robbins; one sister, Estelle Cardenas; and three brothers, T. K. MARY ADA (AKERS) ROBBINS - Funeral services for Mary Ada Akers Robbins, age 83, of Big Sandy, were held Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at 12 noon at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home of Big Sandy with Bro. Larry Vine officiating. Burial followed at Crooked Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Robbins passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. She was born Feb. 27, 1923 to the late Roy Taylor Akers and Bessie Ezell Akers. She was retired from Memphis Frosted Food and a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Camden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T. K. Robbins; two daughters, Mary Alice Robbins, Nellie Beatrice Robbins; one son, James Milton Robbins; two sisters, Christine Robbins and Dorothy Alexander; five brothers, Walter Akers, Earl Akers, Jewell Akers, Carl Akers, Thomas Akers and Jimmy Akers. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Opal Robbins of Camden; one sister, Imogene Byrd of Camden; one grandchild, Jimmy (Cheryl) Robbins of Humboldt; three step-grandchildren, Jeanna Thompson and Joyce Noles both of Buena Vista and John Perry of Big Sandy.

FRED ROSS - Funeral services for Fred Ross, age 93, of Big Sandy, were held Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 3 p.m., at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home, in Big Sandy, with Bro. Joey Simmons officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, in Big Sandy. Mr. Ross passed away Sunday, June 11, at Camden Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Camden. He was born on Sept. 30, 1912, in Huntsville, Ala., to the late John Clinton and Martha Angelica Wade Ross. He was a minister, retired from General Motors, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Macie Kirkendall and Nicie Bradley; three brothers, Earlie Clinton Ross, William Carl Ross, and Clyde Wilson Ross.

WALTER H. RUSHING died at Big Sandy. He recently had sold his property to move to Memhis where he had planned to engage in business. He was the son of W. C. Rushing. Burial was in the Rushings Creek Cemetery."
