City teaching force elected for next year only one new teacher added; all teachers retained. Seventh, Eighth grades to Arnold School is Plan Supt. Allen makes known list of teaching force; New Arnold Memorial School to be occupied this fall.

City teachers for the year '29-30 have been elected by the city school board and not a change has been made in the present faculty, according to an announcement today by Supt. R.T. Allen in making know the coming years teaching force....All seventh and eighth grade pupils the coming year will attend the new Arnold Memorial school building, with the ultimate hope of having a junior high school that will include two additional grades. The Arnold Memorial school will next next year displace the antiquated Central school building. Miss Dorothy Lacy is the only new teacher added to the present force and so far she has not been assigned to any certain school. Mrs. C.L. Wilson will again be public school music supervisor and Mrs. J.W. Officers will be substitute teacher.
