JAMES BAREFOOT - Services for James Barefoot, 65, will be today at Dilday Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Walton officiating. Burial will be in Leach Seventh day Adventist Cemetery. Mr. Barefoot died Saturday morning at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga after a short illness. He was a Cedar Grove native and a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vera Poteete Barefoot; two daughters, Mrs. Shelia Forrest of Huntingdon and Mrs. Charlene Whattenbarger of Collegedale; two sons, Ronnie Barefoot and James, both of Apison; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Boyd ofKansas City MO and Mrs. Anna Mae Crider ofHuntingdon; two brothers, Clarence Barefoot and Floyd Barefoot, both of Kansas City MO and eight grandchildren.

JOHN F. BARGER - Funeral services for Mr. Barger, 82, will be conducted Thursday at Chase Funeral Home with burial in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lois Nolene (Kelly) Barber; daughters, Carolyn Breeden, Kathy Butler, Brenda Pearson; sisters, May Henry Gooch, Mary Nell Cole; brother, Bobby Barger; six grandchildren, twelve g granchildren and one gg grandson.

KELLY BARGER , 69, of Cedar Grove TN, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at the Baptist Memoril Hospital. Memorial services were Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. He was preceded by his father, William Clayton Barger. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his mother Berlyn Kelly Barger ; a daughter Sherry Powers of Milan; two sons, Tony of Huntingdon and Danny Seagraves of Cedar Grove; a sister Peggy Rich of Cedar Grove, two brothers, Ricky and Dog, both of Huntingdon and five grandchildren.

LOONEY M. BARKER - Services for Looney M. Barker, 87, will be THursday at Brummitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Academy Cemetery. Mr. Barker retired from the Dept. of Transportation and also a farmer, died Tuesday at Methodit Hsp. in McKenzie of heart failure. He was preceded in death by his wife, Birtie ; two sisters, Mattie Coleman and Callie Morgan; and two brothers, Halford and Hugh Barker and Giles. He is survived by a son, Bobby of McKenzie.

ALICE MAE (BREWER) BARNES , 61, died Monday, October 11, 2010, after injuries sustained from an accident. Funeral services were Thursday, October 14, 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie with burial in Davis Chapel Cemetery, Huntingdon. Mrs. Barnes was born in Carroll County to the late Elzie and Lurene Pate Brewer. She worked at McKenzie Medical Center in the housekeeping department. Survivors include: her husband, David Barnes of McKenzie; two daughters, Sherrie (Mike) Austin of McKenzie and Amanda Barnes of Hendersonville; one son, Terry (Ami) Barnes of Quito, Ecuador; four sisters, Glenda Rummage of Bruceton, Gloria (Jimmy) McGee of Huntingdon, Mary (John) Thompson of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Janice (Bobby) Umstead of Huntingdon; one brother, Bobby (Shirley) Brewer of Huntingdon; and three grandchildren, Brittany Campbell, Logan Austin and Scott Austin.

VIOLET BARNES - Services for Violet Barnes of Clarksburg, 93, will be held Friday at Clarksburg Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Blair Cem. Mrs. Barnes, a homemaker died Tuesday of Heart failure at Baptist Memorial Hsp. in Huntingdon.

CURTIS A. BARROW - Services for Curtis A. Barrow, 86, Huntingdon, were at 2 pm Sunday Feb. 7, 1982 at Dillday Funeral Home with the Revs. Woody Adams and Clarence Carter officiating. Burial was in Long Rock Cemetery. Mr. Barrow died Friday morning in Maury County Hospital in Columbia after a long illness. He was a member of the First Meth. Church and a veteran of WW I. Survivors include hiswife, Mary Hilliard; a son, Curtis M. Barrow ofHohenwald, a brother Weldon of Huntingdon; a sister, Mrs. Lela Mae Reeder of Huntingdon; two grandchildren.

JOHN BARROW , 84, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday August 20, 1965 in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after a heart attack. He was born August 30, 1880 and was the eldest son of William Henry and Frances Adaline (Kee) Barrow. He has lived in Carroll County all his life. He was a rural mail carrier for sixteen years an dhas been in teh dry goooods business for 47 years. He has been an active member of the Methodist Church since 1895 an dhas served on the Official Board for a number of years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie Vera Dunavant Barrow; four brothers, Luther A. of Beach, ND, Theolie of Belfield ND, Curtis A. and Weldon of Huntingdon; two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Taylor of Bruceton and Mrs. Lela Mai Reeder of Huntingdon; a a stepmother Mrs. Mattie Barrow of Huntingdon.

FAY BARTHOLOMEW - Services for Fay Bartholomew are today Feb. 23, 2000 at 11 a.m. at New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon in charge. Mr. Bartholomew 75, died Sunday Feb. 20, 2000 at his home of cancer. He was a WWII Navy veteran and also retired from Milan Arsenal. He leaves his wife Aliene ofYuma; a daughter Sharon Wood of Lexington; two sons, Doc Bartholomew and Bruce both of Clarksburg; four sisters, Alma Lee Halter of Wildersville, Irene James of Huron, Imogene Blackwell and Opal Wall both of Cedar Grove; two brothers, John of Huntingdon and Farris of Clarksburg and two grandchildren.

RAYMOND BLACKSTOCK - Services for Raymond (Rooster) Blackstock were Saturday April 17, 2010 at Shackleford Chapel, Savannah. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery. Mr. Blackstock, age 76, a farmer died Thursday April 15, 2010 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Jean Blackstock of Sardis; one son, Larry Blackstock, Enville, one sister, Wanda Ellis, Sardis; and two grandchildren.

MARTHA ANDREWS (ROCHELLE) BLOW - Services for Martha Andrews Rochelle Blow, 86, were at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 at Brummitt Funeral Home. Interment followed at the McLemoresville Cemetery. Mrs. Blow, a former owner of City Cafe in Trezevant and retired from HIS, died Tuesday, July 4 at NHC Healthcare in Dickson of heart failure. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trezevant. She was born October 23, 1914 in Trezevant to the late Erma Argo and Byron Rochelle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Blow. She is survived by nieces and nephews.

ANNIE MARIE (ROBINSON BRADFIELD , 76 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, September 03, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Faith in Chirst. Interment will follow at Davis Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Burton will officiate the service. The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Mrs. Bradfield was born January 31, 1934 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late William Earl Robison and Sammie (Coleman) Robinson. She was a retired factory worker for the Publix Shirt Corporation, a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and a participant in the Relay for Life. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odell Bradfield, one son, Mark Bradfield, and two sisters. She is survived by three sons, Mike Dickson (wife Barbara) of Madison, AL, Steve Dickson (wife Brenda) of Bruceton, David Capley of Tucson, AZ, and one sister, Peggy McIver (husband Ken) of Camden. She also leaves five grandchildren and two great grandsons.

MARY RUTH (WILLIAMS) BRADFIELD , age 82, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Jackson Regional Hospital. She was born June 27, 1927 to the late Glinnie and Estella B. Williams. She was a devoted member of the McKenzie First Baptist Church where she had served in many capacities. She was an accomplished seamstress, pharmacist technician for Medic Pharmacy and office assistance for J & J Auto Racing. "Miss Ruth" was best known in her retirement years for her ministry to the sick and shut-ins. She regularly visited the nursing homes, sharing flowers from her bountiful flower gardens. She ministered to friends, the sick and elderly, with meals and food grown from her vegetable gardens. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Bradfield of McKenzie; one daughter, LaRenda (Hugh) Scarbrough of Huntingdon, TN; one son, Dan (Carie Neal) Bradfield of McKenzie; two brothers, Henry G. Williams of Bells, TN and Glynn Williams of Clarksburg, TN; five grandchildren, Mary Margaret Scarbrough, Brad Scarbrough, Julie Bradfield, Lisa McCaslin and Jana (Brian) Stafford; one great-grandson, Lute McCaslin. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lenora Bradford.

SUSIE LEE (WEATHERS) BRIGHT - Services for Susie Lee Weathers Bright were May 19, 2011 at the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in Parkers Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Bright, age 78 of Huntingdon died May 16, 2011 at her home. She was a retired cook. She was also preceded by husband, James Bright, three sisters, Edda Mae Owens, Nadine 9Weathers) Gooch, Lula (Weathers) Ford; four brother, Charlie P. Weathers, L.B. Weathers, Paul Weathers, John Elvis Weathers and one grandson, Victor Holder. She is survived by daughter Mildred Holder; one grandaughter Angie Hunt of Atlanta andone grandson.

FRANCES (ENOCHS) BUSH , 93, retired cashier after 50 years with the Bank of Huntingdon, died of heart failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Huntingdon First United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home has charge. She was the first woman to serve on the board of directors at Bank of Huntingdon. She was a member of Huntingdon First United Methodist Church and the Huntingdon Book Lovers Club. Mrs. Bush was the widow of Glen Bush.
