WILLIAM HOWARD EASON , died in Huntingdon Wednesday 20 September 1905. He was a gallant Confederae soldier and a man who had more personal friends than often falls to one's lot. Dr. J.L. Murray spoke of him as the biggest hearted man in the world. Capt. Eason and his sons, Allen and Howard, have relatives and friends in Lexington.

GABRIEL ALLISON ENOCHS , 100, of Huntingdon, died Thursday, Jan 1, at Huntingdon Health and Rehab of heart failure. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 3, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in Blair Cemetery in Clarksburg. Brother Charles Thompson officiated. Mr Enochs, the son of the late Commodore and Era Tucker Enochs, was born in Carroll County. A retired farmer, he was a member and elder of the Westport Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Enochs. He is survived by a daughter, Thelma Roberts of Wildersville; three sisters, Ethel Merrick and Oletha Darnall, both of Huntingdon, and Louise Wood of Memphis; three brothers, Commodore Enochs and Woodrow Enochs, both of Huntingdon, and Lester Enochs of Memphis; five grandchildren;and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers who served were Mark Dennison, Robert Walker, Don Enochs,James Darnall, Wes Walker, and Jonathan Roberts. Memorials may be sent to the Westport Church of Christ. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

GABRIEL COMMODORE ENOCHS JR. , 91, of Yuma, died Friday, March 16, at Camden General Hospital. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Elders Scott Carter and Phillip Halters officiated. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Enochs, the son of the late Commodore and Era Tucker Enochs, was born June 14, 1909, in Carroll County. He was a retired heavy machine operator for Carroll County. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Wilkes. He is survived by three daughters, Myra Wilkes of Yuma, Linda Hester of Hermitage, and Charline Carter of Yuma; two sisters, Ethel Merrick and Oletha Darnall, both of Huntingdon; two brothers, Lester Enochs of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Woodrow Enochs of Westport.

LESTER CHARLES ENOCHS , 93, of Memphis, died September 10, 2005 at Methodist University Hospital. He was a retired receiving clerk for A&P Grocery after 31 years. He served in World War II as a medic in the 159th Engineering Battalion with the Army. He was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ, where he served as a former deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ima Juanita Lipsey Enochs. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Willoughby and husband, Gary of Southaven; a son, Robin Enochs and wife, Jennifer of Tupelo, MS; three grandsons, Chris Willoughby and wife, Jennifer of Cordova, and Chad Willoughby and Cody Willoughby, both of Southaven; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Kate; two nieces, Judy Carroll of Houston, TX, and Paula Zettergren of Senatobia, MS, whom he helped raise. Also surviving is a brother, Woodrow Enochs of Westport, TN, and two sisters, Ethel Merrick and Oleatha Darnall, both of Huntingdon, TN. Visitation will be Sunday, 4 - 6 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Monday, September 12 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.

WOODROW WILSON ENOCHS , 91, of Huntingdon passed away Sunday, May 18, at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, May 22, at Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Jamison Cemetery. Bro. Billy Clark officiated the service. Mr. Enochs was born August 6, 1916 in Westport, to the late Gabriel Commodore Enochs and Era Rebecca (Turner) Enochs. He was a farmer and a member of the Westport Church of Christ. He is also preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Lynn Enochs, seven brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ruth Enochs; two daughters, Emily Atkins of Waynesville, North Carolina and Nancy (husband Prentice) Ursery of Ft. Worth, Texas; and one sister, Oletha Darnall of Huntingdon. He also leaves three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

ARTHUR RAY ESKEW , 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma with the Rev. Roger Patton officiating. Pallbearers where James Rosser, David Bales, Lester Waugh, Bendell Bartholomew, Dub Ellis and Larry Renfroe. Honorary pallbearers were Ross Pendergrass, Billy Crews, James "Bubba" Martin, Dr. Jerry F. Atkins, Gene Wilkes, Tom Lewis, Mac Blair, James Crum, Eugene Crum and Billy Darnell. Mr. Eskew was born March 15, 1923 in Leach, Tennessee to the late David Henry Eskew and Lucy Elizabeth (Dill) Eskew. He was the shipping clerk for Norandal Aluminum Plant, a World War II veteran, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos Eskew, Martin Eskew and one sister, Estell Rosser. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maurine (Roberts) Eskew, two sisters, Ruth Bennett (husband Audrain), and Leona Chandler (husband T. C.), both of Huntingdon, one brother, James Eskew (wife Frances) of Huntingdon. He also leaves two special friends, Dee Pinson of Trezevant, Tina Renfroe of Huntingdon and many loving nieces and nephews.

ERA MAE ESPEY , 96, of Huntingdon, TN died Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Liberty All Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Espey was born April 10, 1910, in Carroll County, TN. She was a member of the New Crossroads Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Espey, who passed away in 1965, a son, Billy Espey, who passed away in 1986, a brother, Oneal Allen. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Holland, of McLemoresville, TN. She also leaves three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers who served were Jerry Fuller, Dub Smith, Tyler Shaw, Ronald Agee, Jerry Nolen and Richard Bennett. Honorary pallbearers who served were Taylor Shaw, Kirk Towater and Will Espey.
