Bennett Massengale
Will of BENNETT MASSENGALE, deceased I, Bennett Massengale, being of
sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and
testament in manner and form following.
First, I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Massengale, all my land that I am
lawfully seized of, and all my personal property that is perishable, and also my
household furniture that I am in possession of at this day, to have and to enjoy
the benefits thereof, during her natural life. And after her death, my will is
that the said land, after her death, shall descend to my two sons, George
Massengale and Hiram D. Massengale. And all my other property, both personal and
household furniture that she, my wife, may die and leave here, my will is that
that portion of my property descend to my daughters which was born as heirs of
my wife Mary Massengale and myself. The first wife of mine being dead, it is my
will that those heirs belonging to my first wife, inherit none of said property
that I may die lawfully seized of. This land is lying in the county of Claiborne
and state of Tennessee, on Powell River in District No. 5th, my present home
possessions, I give and bequeath to my said wife Mary Massengale whom I hereby
appoint sole Executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all
former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and
