Member Baptist Church; Free and Accepted Masons; Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; Independent Order of Odd Fellows; president, 1921, Decatur County Medical society. Died at Memphis, Shelby County, Feb. 21, 1954; bured in Baptist Cemetery, Noxapater, Winston County, Miss.
