(1859 - 1936) - HOUSE, 66th General Assembly, 1929-31; representing Decatur and Benton counties; Democrat„ Born at Cedar Creek, Perry County, Dec, 26, 1859; son of Ro W« and Rebecca (Randal) Thompson. Attended elementary and secondary schools of Perry County; attended college two years„ Married Sept. 22, 1886, to Ida Jane Guthrie, native of Decatur County; children-Perry P., W. O., Myrtle, Leslie Brown, Nora Belle, Robert Edwin, and Grady McKinley. Subject engaged in farming all his life; also described as broker; home at or near Decaturville, Decatur County. Member Christian Church; Free and Accepted Masons; Order of the Eastern Star,, Died at Decaturville Sept. 6, 1936; buried at Mount Carmel, Decatur County. Uncle of Riley Rogers Randel, sometime member Tenn0 General Assembly.
