The Young Family Cemetery is in the woods southeast of the intersection of the Decaturville Bypass (TN 69) and Middleburg Road (TN 202). The cemetery was established in 1869 about 30 yards east of the older Lowry Cemetery (destroyed in 2003) which had been used in the 1820-1840 period.
David Donahue recorded both cemeteries on November 22, 1992. Margarett Alexander recorded both cemeteries March 23, 1976. Her record of the two cemeteries appear under the name Houston Cemetery in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Daniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 279-280.
